Member's Mark Shredded Low Moisture Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese is great for pasta dishes. I also use it as a dog food topper. The cheese has a light, mild taste. The big 5lb bag is also more cost effective when making dishes for larger groups of people.

We received packed with ice packs, the bag of mozzarella shredded cheese. It was cold on arrival, nice hearty shreds of cheese. Browns up beautifully on top of dishes, and an ample size bag. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone. Good buy, good quality and easy to work with!

I know the cheese snobs are going to tell me to buy a block and hand shred it myself while listening to Italian opera or whatever. And yes, freshly shredded is technically better since bagged cheese has anti caking agents. But honestly? This stuff is the next best thing when real life is happening. It melts great, tastes fresh, doesn’t turn into an oily rubber blanket, and absolutely carried homemade pizza night at our house. Also dangerously easy to grab handfuls straight out of the bag while pretending you’re “cooking.” For pre shredded mozzarella, this punches way above its weight.

We’ve used it for Chicago style Italian beef sandwiches and baked spaghetti, so far. We don’t normally buy cheese in such a large quantity. Overall, it’s good mozzarella. Very little grease associated with it when it melts. This is probably due to the low moisture nature of this particular brand/style of cheese. I highly recommend, but would probably only purchase it in one pound bags, instead of the 5 pound variety.

If you love cheesy Italian foods, you are going to want to get this bag of Members Mark mozzarella from Sam’s Club. First of all, it has a great flavor right out of the bag. It is surprisingly creamy for a low-moisture cheese, and has the mild mozzarella flavor that you want to go into any of your dishes. It is not tangy or sharp at all. This would be great on a sandwich, but because it is shredded you may find it easier to use fresh as a salad topper or a garnish. Being low-moisture and shredded makes it really easy to sprinkle or measure out. I did not have any trouble with clumping or the shreds sticking together, but you don’t taste any off flavors or textures from whatever it is that keeps pre-shredded cheese from clumping up. While this is great fresh, where this is really going to shine is in your baked or toasted dishes. It melts beautifully and has that perfect pull for long, cheesy, mouthwatering strings of cheese. It also toasts into a lovely golden cheese crust. It is great in lasagna, on pizza, as a soup or salad topper, for toasted sandwiches, and I am sure you will find lots of other recipes. And because it is both versatile and delicious, you will probably find yourself using it more than you first anticipated! However, if you are a bit intimidated by the sheer amount of cheese in this 5-lb package, it is very easy to sub-portion and freeze it, with no loss of flavor or meltability, so you will be sure to have it on hand when you need it!

The cheese is nicely shredded, good consistency, not too thin. The cheese melts well and also freezes well. After thawing, the cheese has maintained its original texture and taste. My only suggestions would be to package it as two 2.5 pound bags instead of one 5 pound bag so that storage and freezing would be easier. Or at least make the bag resealable and freezer safe.

used this shredded mozzarella cheese to make homemade lasagna, and it turned out really good. The cheese melted evenly, gave the lasagna a nice stretchy cheesy layer, and added a creamy flavor without being overly greasy. I also liked that the shreds were easy to sprinkle evenly throughout the layers. The large bag is convenient when making family-sized meals, and it worked perfectly for baking.

The Member's Mark Shredded Mozzarella Cheese is a household favorite. I love to buy it in the 5 lb bulk size and portion it out in 2 cup baggies. I keep one in the refrigerator and put remainder in the freezer so it is always available. It thaws very well. It always melts wonderfully and tastes amazing. Great for either a lasagna or just extra cheese on your pizza.

What I like about this mozzarella cheese is the consistency. It’s not super thin and flat. It’s got A great shred size. It is also extremely flavorful. Some mozzarella can be tasteless, This one is not that. I appreciate the Sam’s Club size as a mom of four it’s almost impossible to be able to whip up a quick snack or dinner with a small bag of cheese. and the way this melts!! It does not get tough It melts really nicely and Ooey gooey. My three most common uses of this cheese are because I’m diabetic cheese chips, then always extra cheese on top of pizza and third Alfredo sauce I make it Use some and freeze the rest for another quick meal. I also don’t believe that it has that anticaking powder like other cheeses. It seems like freshly grated cheese.

This was a large bag of cheese--5 pounds! I liked that it was low moisture/part skim so it wasn't too rich. It wasn't too clumpy when I poured out a cup or two. Only one little clump that fell apart when I picked it up. The taste was good; I do think it tasted less 'buttery' than whole milk mozzarella but that's what I expected when getting the part skim. It melted nicely and wasn't greasy when melted. This is a great cheese for pizza! I used in on a tortilla shell and it was delicious!
