went together well. only one bolt for slide panels had thread start messed up. put together by one person, me. had help standing the two long sides up so i could connect the two top horizontals. put up in one day in over 100 degree weather. is metal, so if possible, would recommend putting together not in 100+degree weather haha. i had no choice. very sturdy. not at all the original design i had invisioned in our back yard. but i am glad that we decided to go with it now. if you like the shape, i would recommend this one. seems to be built well, and seems very sturdy

Ordered this the first of August and took about 3 weeks to deliver. Once it was delivered, the boxes were ripped and beat up so was fearful that not all the pieces would still be in there. Finally took it out and got it together and had lots of extra parts. Took about 4 people to set up and instructions were pretty complicated to follow. Love the Pergola though, it really makes our patio stand out! Good quality and much more affordable than a wooden one at this point!

Excellent quality. It came really fast and the delivery company really did an excellent job. It took me a while to find this pergola. The price is right and it took us a few hours to build it because is a big pergola but the instructions are so easy to follow. I'm really happy with this purchase and it looks really good in my backyard.

Was fairly easy to set up. Took roughly 7 hours to complete by myself. I opted to put all the parts together in my garage and then constructed in our back yard. This to make it easier to transport all the beams and posts. Overall would do it again. Instructions are easy to follow. I would buy Velcro to assist with the magnets so the shades do not blow closed.

Was skeptical at first and trying not to suffer from buyer's remorse. Once it was delivered I was pleasantly surprised! Very sturdy, and after 2 evenings we had it assembled and secured on our deck. It looks great. I would purchase again. One suggestion is to have someone help you who has a mind for construction and building instructions....it will be a big help in assembling. All in all, very pleased.

This pergola is unlike any other I’ve found—especially at this price point. In beauty and function with its retractable shades, it is such a great buy! I had some headaches with delivery of the item via the freight service they used here in Georgia… but Sam’s made it right and showed that they value me as a member. Love my new pergola!!

There were several scratches right down to the metal due to shipping. There were also dents. The box had some serious damage on one end when it was delivered. We called and there is no touchup paint available. The shades bind up sometimes as they are pulled open. It took two of us about 10 hours to put together (we are both 69 years old). Overall we really like the look of the pergola and the shade it provides.

Packaging was thin cardboard which is not enough for 250 pounds of pure Chineseium steel, the contents were exposed and scratched when delivered. Instructions were vague in some places including a German word slipping in with the Chingrish. Tolerances were loose and some cajoling was required for some of the bolts to fit, but once built it is pretty impressive. The manual says not to use power tools, but I say do at low torque, save a few hours. It took two of us with power tools 6 hours to construct. Impossible to build alone so don’t even try. Happy with the finished project!

Strong and looks great. There were issues. Scratches throughout. Missing quite of bit of hardware. Was not able to put it together in 1 day due to the missing hardware. Multiple trips to the hardware store to buy bolts and washers was not able to put up the the covering & was not able to buy the special bolts needed have to wait for Sams club to send them. They only sent half of the bolts. The structure itself is solid & looks good. The directions were lacking also. No directions on how to put up the covering had to figure that out. The magnets that hold the covering closed are not strong enough so when the wind blows it blows the covering open. Definitely need at least 2 people to stand it up. I would recommend building it where you are placing it hard to move & heavy after it’s up. Overall I like it.

For starters, the delivery person that came did not call to let me know when he was coming, then was rude when he got there. Then I get home to find that the boxes were damaged, which ultimately led to about 10-15 pieces that were damaged. With no sort of Sam’s Club support, and very little time (due to an event that I had coming up), I basically had to use a mallet to somewhat pound the pieces back into the shape that they were supposed to be in. There were several that were bent, and many that were scratched pretty badly. The instructions were just ok, as there were several things that you kinda had to figure out on your own. Overall, we were able to get it out together in about 5 hours. Once it was put together it looked nice. But it was not a good experience at all.
