Product easy to install. Set up was simple. Clarity is top notch. Over all very very happy with system. One minor issue, they go off non stop at first. This took a fair amount of time getting the settings right. Only other thing I would ask for is a way to shut them down for the work day easy. Meaning unlock, open app, disarm. at night the reverse

Great Camera with "Wire Free" Convenience

It fulfills it purpose of being a completely wire free camera that you can place anywhere within the range of the wireless recorder. Good features and sensitivity, and the ability to "Speak" through the Camera speaker and "Listen" using the Mobile Application. One Caveat though is that while they say "Up to 6months of Battery life" that must have been in an empty room with zero "Triggers" on the camera, since I have this configure to only trigger on "Human" and "Face" and with 10-12 Triggers per day, the batteries only last 2 weeks before needing a recharge. However, knowing that was likely, I also bought the wall charger that comes with a spare set of batteries so that you can just swap the dead ones with the fresh ones and put the others back on the charger for the next time.

Glitchy, not the best option, but will work.

set up was fairtly simple but if your using a desktop set up its VERY limited on what you can do or adjust. they make you use the App.. fine but its VERY SLOW. video on day one as 10s slower then real time.. that's a LONG time when somebody is waiting at the door. or breaking it down. looking at past footage is clunky. not easy to select times, to view, and again its all on your tiny phone so cant see much.. you cant access the past footage on the desktop application. only phone... that should not be a hard fix for them. so what's the prob? and you have to pay for a advanced version of the app to access footage from ANYWHERE. or you can only use it when your in WIfi range.

My old system was on its last leg so I purchased this Night Owl on the recommendation of a friend. Have replaced my 4 camera HD system with this newer 6 camera NVR 10 channel. It really is an improvement over what I had. The picture both day and night, is much clearer than before. I am pleased with this system.

concerns about privacy and use outdoors

I was excited to buy this and I had electrical outlets installed in anticipation of this purchase. I wanted this system because it did not require an internet connection and the system was to be private. However during set up the system kept giving messages that manual set up was not recommended (as opposed to automatic set up using the internet). There was also a warning about lack of support and even voiding the warranty. It seemed as though the manufacturer really did not want me to set this up without giving them access to my wifi. During set up I had a problem with one of the cameras. It would pair but never showed video. After multiple attempts and NO support from the manufacturer, I eventually figured out that there is a reset button in the camera where the SD card can be added. Resetting and going through the set up again corrected the camera issue. And lastly the cameras were to be installed outside. While the cameras seem built for this (well insulted cords) the power supplies for the camera do not appear to be made for the outside. Very thin wire. I doubt the power supplies will hold up very long in the temperature extremes of the northeast US. One other note about the power supplies. They have a moderately sized black plug. I wanted to install two cameras on the same electrical outlet.and get an outlet cover to protect the power supplies. However it seems there are no outlet covers large enough to enclose two of these power supplies (I spent hours looking). Because of this I do not have all cameras in use as there is no way to plug them in and fit them inside an outlet cover. I may have to call an electrician to have my outdoor single gang outlets changed to double gang because of the shape of the power supplies. This has been quite frustrating. I would only recommend for those who plan to use this indoors only and are willing to connect the system to the internet. I am a disappointed buyer.

After this first step, the cameras connect only to the secure Wi-Fi built into the NVR itself, so your system continues to operate privately without requiring ongoing access to your home network.<br />For manual setup, customers typically connect a monitor and mouse directly to the NVR, then discover and add the Wi-Fi cameras. We recognize that this process can feel less straightforward, and we’re sorry you experienced difficulties with one of the cameras before discovering the reset option.<br />Regarding power supplies: our cameras are outdoor-rated, but the included adapters are not designed to be left exposed. Many customers solve this by using weatherproof outlet covers, adding double-gang outlets, or using a power splitter to run multiple cameras from a single adapter. Disappointed

Think this is too many cameras? Not if you want to actually see whats going on. Cameras constantly are working or not working. Installed for a couple weeks now and 75% of the cameras are working at any given time. Not the same cameras going down each time either. Love the concept of Night owls free app but there is a reason this is affordable. Wish I would have skipped this all together and paid more. Now its all installed and a pain in the neck if I wanted a refund. Kind of forced to keep it and NOT HAPPY about it

The cameras do not go 300'. They are open in line of sight; no buildings, walls, etc. The ma is more like 150-200'. Otherwise the software and overall product are as expected.
