I buy one of these every time I come to the club. I eat the wings when I get home. I take the bird apart and fry the skin crispy for my wife. I remove about 2 lbs. of meat and freeze it for soup or other dishes. The rest of the carcass goes into the crockpot to make broth. I freeze the broth for future use and pick everything off the bones for our dog for many meals.

I use this large chicken for so many recipes. I usually serve the thighs for dinner, then I debone the rest, package the meat in 4 oz portions, and then dump the skin and carcass in a big pot with some water and make broth. It is perfect for soups. Using every bit of this chicken makes it even more economical.

Raw chicken parts

We buy the fresh rotisserie chicken every week, and now this is the second time, we encounter some undercooked parts of the chicken drums. It's not only a health risk, but I can't understand how this can happen. Since the rotisserie machine should cook all chicken evenly. We did eat the chicken breasts before finding the raw parts on the chicken.

The item was really good and fresh off of the rotisserie when I purchased it. It is a bit salty but flavorful. I've purchased it several times before to make chicken salad or for events to feed a crowd. This was my first time purchasing it specifically for food prep to save time. I love these rotisserie chickens at Sam's Club. I have tried them from multiple stores and hands down these are the best somehow. Not only is the price better but the taste is better as well. One chicken can provide multiple meals which is a blessing in this economy.

Disappointed

Flavor was unfortunately lacking. When we removed the breast there was runny red liquid inside and some of the meat had an underdone texture. The meat around the joints was very difficult to separate from the bones by hand, which is not typical for a well done rotisserie. It seems that it may have needed more cook time.

Usually very good, and at loss-leader price. Finished product is at whim of whoever runs the roaster, so still have to hunt for size, how long it sat in warmer and how browned the chicken is. Still, it's way better than the typical grocery chicken which is priced nearly twice as much for equal or lesser quality.

Normally the rotisserie chicken is cooked just right. The last two I purchased were dry and not cooked all the way through. They were not as tasty as they normally were. They need to be cooked so the skin is crispy brown or as I say "burnt just right."
