I used to love your chicken salad. After gastric bypass surgery it was the best thing for me to eat. I haven't had it for a while so I decided to pick it up now then I'm back at work again. Unfortunately, you changed the recipe. It doesn't taste the same, it has a sour taste. Is the mayonnaise different? I will not be purchasing this anymore. It has a sweet sour taste. Let me know if you go back to the original recipe.

I always loved this product! Not anymore. The last 2 times I bought it..most recently July 10 2026, it was awful. It's now actually mayonnaise and celery salad..no chicken chunks...just strings of dark meat chicken. I never waste food but I actually threw this out as there was very little protein value. ..just mayo and celery. Will not be buying it anymore. so sad

This has been my favorite chicken salad for years, and I have recommended it over and over. I picked up the new recipe this morning, and it was very disappointing. The chicken and the whole mixture was completely pulverized, rather than the previous chunks and pieces of vegetables, and the recipe is much sweeter than it was before.

Why did you have to go and mess with a good thing just make a few extra dollars? The original rotisserie chicken salad recipe was fantastic. But, this new recipe turns my stomach. I won't buy it anymore. I'm starting to turn my business to your competitor. Your offerings are going down hill while your price keeps going up. I'm starting to question whether it's worth keeping my membership.

I rarely write reviews, but I feel so strongly about this item I just had to add myself to the list of other upset customers… If it was possible to give it negative stars, I would… js This item has been a staple %26 a near constant FAVORITE at my home for many years… anytime a new person tried it at my home, they frequently ended up joining Sam's just for the awesome chicken salad, it was just pretty simple : rotisserie chicken chunks, celery mayonnaise, maybe onion powder or actual onions, maybe a little salt and pepper or something, but it was DIVINE !!! Whomever changed it made a TERRIBLE decision, sometime around May 2026 I believe, is when it changed. I literally returned it to the store because it was so terrible. I knew it looked different but was willing to give it a chance, took one bite and drove it back to the store for a refund … Reminds me of cat food or something the way it looks, and it doesn't taste much better than what I imagine wet cat food tastes like… The kind lady who processed my return was not surprised AT ALL, she said many many folks were returning it because it's just plain horrible now, so so sad :*( PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD RECIPE !!!!!!!

The old recipe was better... go back to it. I like the fresh rotisserie chicken with the fresh diced celery and mayo with seasonings. This new version has pickles instead of celery, and no seasoning that I can taste over the pickle... why? It doesn't taste better, it's actually worse. (And I like pickles, by themselves. Not in my chicken salad.) You've ruined it. Won't buy again until I see celery in it.

I used to love your chicken salad. Bought some a couple months ago and didn't like it. Tried another yesterday and its awful. Will never buy again until you go back to the original recipe. The changed version is purreed with to much vinegar and mayo. No thanks.

We have been purchasing this item for many years from Sam's Club, and it has always been great. Unfortunately, the last time we purchased this, it was terrible. I did some digging, and it appears that Sam's changed their recipe. It is now way too salty/overseasoned and does not seem as "fresh" as before. The chicken is finely shredded instead of the larger chunks previously. It almost seems like they are not making it in-house anymore, but that is just a guess. Overall, very disappointed in this change and will not be purchasing it again.

I have raved about Sam's Club chicken salad to everyone I know. They used the rotisserie chicken and it was fabulous. Within the last few months, it tastes awful. I gave them several opportunities thinking maybe it was just a bad batch. But no, probably some cost cutting crap. Don't waste your money.

Always loved this chicken salad. They changed the recipe and no longer make it on site. Now it has a funny taste that our family doesn't like. We've noticed this new style sits in the food case and ends up being marked down just to move it. Please bring back the original recipe.
