The only issue is that you have to hover the entire process since it's completely manual. It's a nice machine but I would upgrade to one that doesn't have to be watched the entire time.

If you're a fan of espresso, I highly recommend this! I used to only use a Moka pot, but this creates such a smooth, robust shot of espresso that's not acidic or has any grounds in it, that I'll never return to my Moka pot. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS.

Ordered this espresso machine last week, showed up fast, and at first glance, it looked fine. But the second I set it up, water started leaking near the steam wand. Then I noticed small signs of use: water drops still in the tank, like someone had tested it and shipped it out anyway. Couldn’t even pull a single shot. By the time I checked Sam’s site for an exchange, they were already sold out. I am going to return it as soon as I can. So much for my espresso plans.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the DeLonghi Manual Espresso Maker I am able to make all of my favorite coffee shoppe beverages for a fraction of the cost in my own home. I was a little nervous about using the machine for the first time. There are so many features and I thought it would be complicated. But, it is so easy to make great tasting Espresso based coffees in just a few minutes. I am very fond of hot mocha lattes. DeLonghi showed me, with detailed pictures, how to run the machine and make my own delicious latte. The machine comes with a single and double shot filter. So on mornings that I wake up still groggy, I go for the double shot. And when my husband is home. I can make 2 espressos at one time so we can enjoy them together. There is also a larger removable water tank. Making it easy to make a very large coffee or 2 regular sized coffees on a single fill. And enough extra water to steam/froth your milk. I now have so much fun making specialty coffees for myself, my family, and my friends. And, I'm getting pretty good at using the machine and can give my batista a run for his money.. This is a very nice Espresso Maker and I am still learning about all of the neat functions.and features like the cup warmer, and that I can use an ESE pod in the filter too. DeLonghi put a lot of thought into this machine so we can make high quality, great tasting specialty coffees in the comfort of home.

I use to work for a well known coffee shop and let me tell you, while this is not obviously their high end espresso machine, its just as great for an at home, everyday use, espresso machine. Heats up high enough for the perfect shot of espresso and is very quick!! User friendly and well worth it. As a new mom of two, this is a must!

Will be great for beginners who want to learn how to make lattes and cappuccinos at home. I love that the water tank is spacious, so you don't have to refill it for every cup. The milk frother surprised me with how amazing it was . Overall, 10 out 10, especially for the price. Highly recommend to everyone!

I wasn't too sure I was going to be able to make good coffee, but I filled the instructions and I'm getting better everyday. Clean up is easy and the machine comes with really good recipes to try. Highly recommend!

A great espresso machine and a great upgrade from my 20+ year old machine that I bought in college. The only caveat is one needs to know what 1 or 2 ounces of fluid looks like and don't turn away to do something else. There is no selector for one or two shots. Also, I'd recommend following the recommendation to not move the machine while on. Turn it off and let it cool down before moving and picking it up. The machine produces a smooth shot of espresso with a nice frothy crema, making a nice cappuccino for the wife. Just be sure to clean the machine after you're finished. I'll be sure to update in 3 months.

It's simple to use and has some basic recipes that comes with it. I'll need to watch a few videos to make better espressos but this is worth it.
