I have always bought coffee out at small shops and chains but this machine makes it super easy to make great tasting coffee at home! Machine set up was super simple and instructions that came along with the machine were clear and easy to follow. The milk steamer is a great addition to really elevate your drink to taste just like a coffee shop! The machine does not heat up right away so just something to keep in mind. I have found the steamer is a bit hard to clean but the taste of the drink makes it worth it!

Will be great for beginners who want to learn how to make lattes and cappuccinos at home. I love that the water tank is spacious, so you don't have to refill it for every cup. The milk frother surprised me with how amazing it was . Overall, 10 out 10, especially for the price. Highly recommend to everyone!

Making espresso is a little trickier than I thought but this machine made it a breeze. The detailed instructions helped me understand how to make a perfect shot of espresso and steam milk with the steaming wand. It included most things needed but I really wish it had a jug for steamed milk included and a nicer tamp but it still worked great! Pros: -easy to use -detailed instructions -doesn't take up much counter space -consistent texture on foam/steamed milk -visibility of water level -warming plate for cup -storage for unused porta filter baskets Cons: -included “tamp” is cheap plastic so was hard to get good even pressure -did not include a steam/froth pitcher -porta filter basket fell out of the porta filter when I tried to knock the puck out.(had to dig it out of garbage can)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A bit difficult to use—you have to decide when to stop the shot, which is tough to do by sight. But it does make good espresso. The machine itself is a bit cheap looking, and it was very difficult to get the piece that holds the filter and the coffee into place the first time—I had to wrench it so hard that I was worried I had broken the machine. It's no longer a problem, though, so maybe it was just a problem on the first use. Overall, I would much prefer an automatic espresso machine, simply because I am not advanced enough to know when to stop the machine.

**Got this as a Christmas present from my inlaws.** Noisy pump from day one but produced pretty good espresso with nice crema..started taking longer to heat and produce espresso until a month in, it barely dripped. It had been cleaned after use and even descaled, but to no avail. They bought the extended warranty and ordered it online , but when I returned it to Sam's for replacement they said it was online only now and refunded the original card. So I did not get a second unit to see if it was a fluke or not, but read the reviews carefully, as pump pressure/failure in short time seems to be a common issue with these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the DeLonghi Manual Espresso Maker I am able to make all of my favorite coffee shoppe beverages for a fraction of the cost in my own home. I was a little nervous about using the machine for the first time. There are so many features and I thought it would be complicated. But, it is so easy to make great tasting Espresso based coffees in just a few minutes. I am very fond of hot mocha lattes. DeLonghi showed me, with detailed pictures, how to run the machine and make my own delicious latte. The machine comes with a single and double shot filter. So on mornings that I wake up still groggy, I go for the double shot. And when my husband is home. I can make 2 espressos at one time so we can enjoy them together. There is also a larger removable water tank. Making it easy to make a very large coffee or 2 regular sized coffees on a single fill. And enough extra water to steam/froth your milk. I now have so much fun making specialty coffees for myself, my family, and my friends. And, I'm getting pretty good at using the machine and can give my batista a run for his money.. This is a very nice Espresso Maker and I am still learning about all of the neat functions.and features like the cup warmer, and that I can use an ESE pod in the filter too. DeLonghi put a lot of thought into this machine so we can make high quality, great tasting specialty coffees in the comfort of home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you Influenster and DeLonghi for this beauty. I love how the espresso tastes and it matches my chrome and black appliances in the kitchen. It has a nice clean design to it that is pretty compatible with anything and I find it easy to use with the simple dial. The milk foam makes a nice creamy layer on top, yum! I think this machine makes espressos that can compare to cafe espressos, maybe I'm biased haha but I love it so far. A huge plus—clean up is easy also!
