This item works okay. However, the hose will NOT stay in place. I've had to secure it with tape. When I called customer service to ask for help, they told me that they didn't have any difficulty getting the hose to stay in place...so I gave up. Mediocre product

Switched from a Haier. This one sounds about like a fan on high speed. It cools my 12 x 24' attic rooms quickly. Picked it up at my local Sam's Club where they brought it out & put it in my car. I only have on negative comment. The morning after the first nights use, I had a terrible headache. I felt better that day and no effects since. Perhaps coincidence, just thought it worth mentioning.

Totally useful, it serves to cool off my garage which gets extremely hot with the past two weeks being nearly 100 degrees every day. My husband does not allow me to smoke cigarettes in the house “which I totally agree with “so I'm banished to my garage man cave, it's nearly 700 square feet and this air conditioner keeps it at 72 degrees, it is vitally important to properly vent the unit, I tried the easy vent method and failed miserably, a brother from another mother came up with a vent through a dryer vent exit which has worked perfectly.

I am so happy that I chose to purchase this air conditioner....there is a large addition on the back of my home, that a high cathedral ceiling. There are no windows in this room, just 3 sliding glass doors and a skylight....It gets extremely hot in this room, and it is where the family spends most of its time....I was able to vent the AC in one of the doors, by extending the length of the window piece...when I plugged the AC in, it was 83 in this room....when I woke up in the morning, the temperature was down to 71....I keep it set at 69, and it turns on and off as needed.....would definitely purchase again.

I have a small home about 600 sq ft on each floor. This air conditioner quietly cooled the entire first floor from a suffocating 90 degrees to a comfortable 72 degrees. Set up was easy. To keep bugs out, I slipped the window panel into the leg of an ultra sheer stocking, then snapped the exhaust hose in place. So far, I'm happy.

Stopped working after 3 days. For the 3 days it worked, it did a good job. It was easy to return and get a refund at least. It may have been my fault for transporting it on its side for a whole 10 minutes and not waiting the recommended time before i used it. Not sure though.

Central air unit died and won't be replaced until it's done along with heating unit in the future. This unit was cost effective for the planned short term. Nice unit for concentrating AC to just the area in use instead of whole house. Ability to move to different areas a plus. Does a good job.

Unit was purchased less than a month ago originally for my daughter's college dorm room but rhe school did not allow for it to be used. Only the school can install a a.c. unit if needed. I decided to then use it in my wife's upstairs office as it sits at the top of the stairs on the south side of the house and although comfortable, the room is the warmest room in the house. The unit is awesome and more than cools her office as one can also feel the cool air flowing down the stairs. Unit has several nice features, runs quiet and there is no need to dump a condensate drain pan. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

We bought this to replace an older free-standing AC unit and this one is so much better. The VERY best feature is no longer needing to empty out water from the condensation tray. This unit somehow evaporates the water and sends it out through the exhaust hose. Works awesome!

This portable AC cools the room its in. And was not difficult to set up- once I figured out how to cut the window kit smaller. It needed to fit in a narrow window on the side of a big bow window in living room. Was able to trim plastic window insert with hack saw fairly easily. HOWEVER the motor is SO LOUD!!! I AM very disappointed. Even with the whisper feature- that only lowers the fan speed. Once it reaches the target temp, its quiet with only the fan running. But then motor comes on again and its loud for a bit. I would shop around if you want a quieter unit.
