I bought this for our 400+ square foot master bedroom. The hose that goes out the window is not so pretty, but man does this portable air conditioner work great! With the weather at a constant 100 degrees everyday, I actually wake up freezing with the comforter pulled over my head!

The unit does not cool one 10 by 12 room very well we are disappointed to give this type of price for the unit and not get the quality that we had with the older unit. The unit is quieter and has more features; however, our main goal was cooling our bedroom to sleep better at night.

These are nice AC's for when you don't want your windows blocked all the way. They are also nice for one room, but don't think you will cool down a couple rooms with it. But the one room will be nice and cold. I think it might not be as energy efficient too, but not 100% sure about that.

The unit arrived broken, which is frustrating because it's quite heavy to be hauling up and down stairs. When attempting to connect the hose to the window unit, the hose was so heavy that it would pull the window unit out of the window. All parts were laughably cheap.

Wonderful.... we need to replace our old one which died. Did my research... keeper coming back to this one. Price was reasonable, reviews were positive, I have tried for over a month before. Now we only use for A/C. It's quite and even quieter with whisper mode on. There is a timer function which is a great addition. Easy to use and set up. Sams club was great with us. We had a broken roller and they were quick to answer my email and resolve the issue. If you get one enjoy.

Had it just over a week and so far so good. Has a whisper mode which cuts noise by about 1/2. Not having to empty water tray is a plus. Cools the space I bought it for. Only reason for 4 stars is an inherent problem/pain with all portables, exhaust hose. As I said so far does what we wanted well.

We needed to cool our new indoor patio. After searching the DeLonghi was our choice. We are very satisfied with the unit. It definitely over cooled the room quickly but the thermostat works excellently. We are able to keep the room at a consistent temperature. The noise level is not very annoying; we are able to listen to our television at a normal volume. The only minus would be what is expected of any indoor cooling system; that is the exhaust. It worked perfect for us; all the parts to get our exhaust setup was provided with the unit. We ended up fabricating the exhaust through a wall of the patio. The parts we used were of great quality and the exhaust looks professional installed. We are curious to learn more of the DeLonghi products. This unit was quality.

The unit did work right out of the box. Assembly of exhaust was a bit more complex in my particular situation but the exhaust pieces and parts fit well together for a good exhaust system. My problem with with the unit control system, while set point temperature is shown, current room temperature is not shown. After two hours of operation with a set point of 80 deg F, the unit did not do a great job of cooling a 14x16 space within unit parameters, no would it cycle. Room temperature decrease from an initial 88 degrees to only 85 degrees and I had to adjust the set point up to 90 deg F in order for the compressor to shut off on it's own. I gave this unit only two stars because for the price the manufacturer could have done a better job with design and unit performance.

We purchased this when our home AC unit went out and it was going to take a few days to fix, and I was so glad we did! It cooled off our bedroom so well I didn't even need to shut the bathroom/closet doors, there was plenty of cold air for the whole master suite. It also worked pretty quickly, so we could turn the AC unit on in the evening before bed. After our AC was fixed we lent it to a neighbor who had a room that wasn't cooling well and they loved it so much they wanted to buy one for themselves too :)

This is the 5th DeLonghi Portable Air Conditioner that I have purchased! I have 3 in my own home and gave two to my daughter for use in her home! They are so efficient, quiet and dependable. I have tried other brands and non of them compare to this company's product!
