I like the a/c, it's simple, it works well at dehumidifying and cooling (same thing just different buttons, tbh). Nice the remote is easy inset in the top. HOWEVER...knowing my limitations I filmed and /photographed how it came OUT of the box as it's a seasonal need, but those images have disappeared. Now, I can't get everything back in the dang box, and wrote to DeLonghi and they just sent a link to images of a plastic wrapped "dust cover" and an "accessories bag" both folded as small as possible - and neither lists the PCAN270 version here. Plus, one of 'em is out of stock, and both being on sale at less than $14 aren't returnable for refunds (say, f'r instance THEY AREN'T THE RIGHT SIZE). This would be less frustrating if DeLonghi would just send me the requested IMAGE of how it is packed at the factory, as I can get most of it together but the window slats are the mystery of the ages for me. And this mama-jama is heavy once placed in the box (love the a/c's wheels otherwise!) so I can't be goofing around trying to box it and THEN move it to its storage area. So I guess I find an old refrigerator box, some duct tape, and 2 junked skateboards... or next time return it piecemeal during the 90-day window, and just get a dang window unit.

I too bought this air conditioner at Sam's Club 3 years ago, after convincing my husband that we needed to replace our first generation dinosaur. I made the argument that this, as a much newer model, would be more energy efficient and it had more btu's thus cooling our great room better. We loved it…for three years. And now, like everyone else, the compressor is shot. Fortunately, we kept our 20 year old maytag floor unit and put it back into service. Runs like it always did, just fine. So much for new technology.

We have had this ac unit for exactly a month and it worked great at first but now is showing a pf code.

Do not buy. The vent was cracked and the bottom was cracked right out of the box. It leaked water everywhere.

This AC gets my entire downstairs cold during the heatwave. my daycare kids are comfortable and the parents ask me where I bought it from.

We bought this in June at the end of August it just stopped working. It turns on but that's it . It's going back to sams today

Trying 2 setup the exhaust hose was such a pain in the butt , wouldn't keep room cool , kept having issues .... gave up & returned it

It's was great while it lasted but an air conditioner this much should not be done after two and half summers!

at the start, purchased late summer of 17, by the summer of 18 it barely kept the room cool, now it needs to be replaced. Purchased a warranty on the one, lets see if they blame the failure on acid rain and dirt like the window unit!
