Just purchase easy this, a lil heavier then expected but install is easy. Did put insulation around the window kit. Cool well for the little that I've used it. Can use where tradition windows a/c aren't permitted.

Bought this a few weeks ago to replace my casement one. Was very easy to assemble and hookup to the window. i especially love the quite button, very helpful while watching tv in the same room

This ac unit barely lasted a year. We bought in May 2020 and by June 2021 the condenser was making strange noises. Now, the touch pad on the top of the unit has gone bad and the condenser is dead. I expected more for the price.

I bought this 2 1/2 months ago and it has already quit working. The compressor has quit. The high fan control never worked but I was willing to overlook that until the whole thing has quit. Will not buy again.

I like the a/c, it's simple, it works well at dehumidifying and cooling (same thing just different buttons, tbh). Nice the remote is easy inset in the top. HOWEVER...knowing my limitations I filmed and /photographed how it came OUT of the box as it's a seasonal need, but those images have disappeared. Now, I can't get everything back in the dang box, and wrote to DeLonghi and they just sent a link to images of a plastic wrapped "dust cover" and an "accessories bag" both folded as small as possible - and neither lists the PCAN270 version here. Plus, one of 'em is out of stock, and both being on sale at less than $14 aren't returnable for refunds (say, f'r instance THEY AREN'T THE RIGHT SIZE). This would be less frustrating if DeLonghi would just send me the requested IMAGE of how it is packed at the factory, as I can get most of it together but the window slats are the mystery of the ages for me. And this mama-jama is heavy once placed in the box (love the a/c's wheels otherwise!) so I can't be goofing around trying to box it and THEN move it to its storage area. So I guess I find an old refrigerator box, some duct tape, and 2 junked skateboards... or next time return it piecemeal during the 90-day window, and just get a dang window unit.

Bought the the unit because of good reviews here and price value. Sorry but not sorry. The unit blows cool air great but automatically goes to fan mode every 3 mins.. Doesnt stay blowing cold air.. 500 sqft is over hyped. Didnt cool my 300 sqft room. Returned! Waste of time buying and returning...

I bought two of these on sale. There's no way it's going to cool down 500 sqft area. It's rated at 12,000 BTU, but real world cooling is 6,700 BTU(DOE). It's quiet and great looking compare to other brands. It exhaust air from the room. That means hot air from outside can come inside from other doors or windows. Buy it if you don't have any windows or have tiny windows in the room. All it needs is a hole in the wall for the exhaust. I hope DeLonghi will introduce dual hose to improve the efficiency of their portable air conditioners. I ended up returning one unit and replaced it with a dual inverter window air conditioner.

according to ad thought this did not have to be ventilated due to no drip no leakage claim. I wanted to use it in my 2 car garage that has NO windows or place to vent. Is there a way to set up without using window kit??? Probably have to return if not.

About 5 years ago I bought a Delonghi from Sam's that was wonderful, it cooled well, it had a drawer to empty and it was easy to move from room to room. So I was excited to get this one. Oh well. This thing is big, it was like having a piece of furniture, and it was noisy- but those were minor concerns when within a week it stopped working. It was full of water!, so we emptied it, cleaned the filter which was insanely hard to remove and let it run, it felt like the air was cold coming out but our room never went below 78 degrees. We returned it and bought a GE window unit from Sam's (12k btu) which brought the temp down to 72 in 20 minutes. Glad to be rid of it.

Just like Dave m mine went out in a year. Key pad was shorting out and now a probe failure. We are roasting in 105 to 110 heat index and have to try to find away to come up with money we don't have to buy another one. This was a very disappointing and financially devastating
