Bought in store, when we opened the box our unit was an almond color- not white. Maybe check before you leave as we Had to keep since you cannot return to store. The box showed white, display was white, model # on unit is for white. It seems efficient and quiet, but I do find that when it kicks on to cool to maintain temp that it is noisy and wakes us.

I bought this yesterday and so far I'm very happy with it. My house has no ac and my 2 yr old gets very fussy if the hour gets over 76 we installed it and about 2 hours my house was already getting cooler. I put it up in my loft and aimed it toward the railing and wow it really made a difference. I had to turn it off in the middle of the night as it made our room next to the loft very cool.

We got this same model last year at the end of the season on clearance so didn't really get to use it. Purchased it for our FROG since our AC unit isn't quite big enough to adequately cool the house and FROG during the hottest summer months. I installed it this year thinking it would be more than enough to cool the FROG so the kids could play up there in the summer and not be too hot. Boy was I wrong. I have the unit set on 78 and went up there to check the temp when I got home and it's 85 degrees! The kicker is that the room is 225 sqft, less than HALF of the unit's reported cooling capability. I had high hopes for this unit, maybe too high. Before you think I'm bashing the unit of being too hard on it, I'm not. It should have absolutely NO problem keeping a room at 78 degrees. I'm sure the unit works great to supplement your homes existing AC but I wouldn't expect to use this on its own.

So my wife and I splurged this year on an air conditioner. The model looked good enough, I've heard the company name before, seemed to be a good buy so for the area we were using it for, it was great. A little noisy, whisper mode at night helped but not as quiet as you'd expect. We didn't use it 24/7 a few hours while home, during the week and once it was hot during the weekend usually shutting it off completely in the middle of the night. But 3 weeks after purchase we get this error message. Thought it needed to be drained or such but no, turns out the PF code it displayed needs a replacement part and call a technician. After looking online I can verify no easy fix. So high hopes but if only it was built to last and not just built to fail and NEED more money out of me that would have been a better product. We won't be returning this product we will be junking it for what it is and getting a Honeywell.

This unit's (No Drip Technology) is not reliable. It has leaked all over my floor even after draining the unit multiple times outside. The good news is it's still under warranty! The AC worked well for about 3 months then the (HL!) light came on. I drained the unit, plugged it back up, the (HL!) warning light came on again and the unit would not turn on at all. De'Longhi needs to fix its No Drip Technology.

I am so excited to finally have my hot room in the house (due to ductwork problems that can't be remedied) to the coldest room. I got it today and set it up to vent out my room window and the AC blows so cold and efficiently. I am in love! I am so glad I'm able to move back into my master room for the summer. Best summer purchase this year by FAR

Wish I would have known that I would have to insulate the heck out of the exhaust tube in order for it to not suck the hot air back into the unit. Stupid. After that; it takes up a lot of room in the corner. And no; I have it RIGHT NEXT to the window; as much as it will allow. I could have it closer if it weren't for the length of the hose. And now it really only cools approximately 200 sq ft; not 500 and was unable to do so on the one and only 80+ day we've had so far. Its better than nothing I guess; and its too heavy and now out of the box for me to take it back; it was a struggle getting it home in the first place. Wish i would have read up on the inefficiencies of this. Well; at least the bugs won't get in around it and the rain won't damage it. Poor decision on my part.

Purchased this at the end of May and it worked alright. Struggled to cool a vaulted bedroom on the hottest days, but it seemed to put out cold air. Now we are in the beginning of July and it is giving PF (Probe Failure) error codes and shutting off. The only advice we get is "Call the manufacturer". My advice is to walk away and find a better unit for a few dollars more.

Super simple to set up; ice cold air; what more can you ask for? We have central heat/air but needed to supplement our upstairs. This unit is perfect. Ice cold air comes out, making the entire room upstairs nice and cold. Very simple to set up (and I'm someone who can't figure out anything). Our HOA does not allow window a/c units, but this one does not show on the outside at all. We were so impressed, we went back and bought a 2nd unit for our bedroom so we can have it nice and cold at night. Very pleased, no complaints. Oh and not loud at all; about the same sound as a white noise machine on low. Someone mentioned an issue with water, but that is only if you have it in dehumidifier mode; otherwise you do not need to drain. Great purchase.

My central air broke and the unit is so old I need to completely replace it. To get through the summer I bought this AC unit for my bedroom. It has been a huge life saver, especially since we had record heat and humidity. I never would have thought it, but I find the dehumidifier feature particularly helpful. Regular dehumidifiers generate a lot of heat which is why you typically stick them in the basement; but when this unit is flipped into that mode it vents the heat out the same hose the AC function uses. The result is cool dry air even in humid mugginess. I've actually at times opened the door to the room and let it tackle the 1100 sq foot house. While it can't serve the entire house it markedly decreases the overall humidity and that's a great help. I also use the timer feature regularly. Typically I run it overnight in the automatic comfort mode, then turn it off in the morning to rest a bit. I have the timer turn it back on a few hours before I get home from work. My only small complaints are it's a bit louder than I expected and the control panel never goes completely dark but I've gotten used to that.
