Purchased a Delonghi portable air conditioner from Sams Club 6/12/2020 I used it 1 summer and by July 2021 it was completely broken, no control panel lights, no nothing I was left in the dark by the air conditioner and Delonghi Service. So I'm out $ 401.74

We were all looking forward to receiving this air conditioner as it was hotter than any other year. FEDEX was running late (every day a day was added for a delay in delivery, so 4 days late in the end). As we unpacked the air conditioner, set it up, plugged it in, it showed da PF code after 1 minute of running the unit. unplugged, plugged, unplugged, plugged back in but no luck. Maybe just a "bad" unit? We're sending it back and start ALL OVER! even though this unit is bad, we have another De'Longhi and it works great, and I'd still buy another one. Thank you to Sam's Club for a great return policy and process.

Recommend this product to anyone who is considering buying an air conditioner without the hassle of putting it on the window and taking it down. Greg product it makes the rooms cool down and if “feels good” mode, keeps the rooms cool at night! I already told a few people to get one before they are sold out!

I purchased two of these to get us through a 2-3 week repair on our central air conditioning compressor. They could not keep up. I purchased three 8000 BTU window units instead, and they have cooled my house down 8 degrees in 3 hours. Pay attention to the new BTU rating on these units. They are nowhere near 12000 BTU's.

Purchase this unit end of May. It seemed to work well. After about 6 weeks the compressor stopped working, it just circulated warm air. We have 2 other units by Delongi that have been working for several year, so wasn't hesitant to buy another of their products. Must have been a fluke. Sam's customer service was wonderful, took it back with no hesitation.

Really wanted this to work rather than having to place a unit in the window. I've slept with window units for a long time, but this one takes up a lot of space inside and it kept waking me up when it starts and stops the compressor. Twice the weight of a window unit and not very quiet in my opinion even in the shush mode. Plus you have to drain the water condensation from the unit (which is not easy to do since the plug is so low to the ground). Returned it and bought an Midea 6K window unit which was half price with twice the features plus energy star.

I have had my units for 3 years. They are great!!!! No problems. I have replaced my central unit with these and found I use about 15% less energy overall. Replacement and repair will be so much less than my central unit and I'm extremely comfortable.

I bought 4 of these DeLonghi PACAN270G1W portable A/C units, at the same time, in June 2018 and 2 months later three have stopped working. The 1st unit's button touch panel went out. The 2nd and 3rd unit's compressors failed. The 4th unit is still working, but based on the robustness of the other 3, I'll probably end up returning it too.

I bought this for my daughter who has no a/c and the heat was getting unbearable. It was quiet and cooled her living room along with the attached dining area pretty quickly. It came with a hose to vent to the outside and the unit was easy to move around.

Pros: Spits out cold air. Easier to install in a basement window than a window AC. Fairly quiet. Rolled easily on it's wheels. Cons: Not even close to a 12,000 BTU window unit. Apparently the smaller BTU rating is the actual cooling power on these portable units. Dealing with the exhaust hose is a bit of a pain. It gets fairly warm and just heats the air in the room you are trying to cool. Ended up wrapping it with an old bed sheet which helped a bit. Couldn't cool a 273 sq ft room in a reasonable time. It would run for hours and the temp would only drop a degree or two. It could not cool the room off to the set temperature of 73°. Not really sure what the Real Feel feature did, tried it twice. One day it kept it at 74° the next it kept the room at 78°. Which was basically the temp of the room when I turned it on. I didn't bother with it after that. Display doesn't tell you the room temp, just the temp you set. I returned the unit and got an 8,000 BTU window unit which cools the same 273 sq ft room in about 2 hours.
