The Epson ET-4850 is truly an outstanding multi-function printer. I am using this printer in my home office and it exceeds my expectations. The initial setup is intuitive and only takes about 15 minutes to get up and running. The printer uses Epson Super Tank ink and I have no doubt that the ink supply will last a long time before needing a refill. I especially like that I can fill each tank as needed without having to replace an entire cartridge. The printer is connected wirelessly to my network and has stayed connected without any drop offs. Print quality is fantastic. The colors are true and text is quite sharp and clear. Scan and copy output is quick and spot on. The automatic document feed is a necessity if you scan multi page documents as I do. There is also fax capability built in. I love the fact that I can print remotely from anywhere using Epson Connect. The Epson ET-4850 has replaced an older printer and a scanner and frees up space in my home office. I requested this printer as a gift and am so disappointed with set up and function. I am quite capable of resolving technical issues; however, this one I could not resolve completely. The downloads, etc. would not let me complete the set up on my computer but I was able to manually set up wifi on printer. In addition to installation issues, the printer kept jamming. I contacted Asurion because I was also gifted a protection plan. Upon completion of that chat, I was told to contact Epson! What a mess. I have a new printer that I can't do a complete set up and even if I could, I can't print because of paper jams. That issue is caused by one of the plastic flaps on the back panel of the printer. I have been experiencing great frustration with getting it to scan from my iMac. Also, before you install your printer all-in-one...make sure to get the serial number off of the BOTTOM of the printer, before you fill the ink tanks. I had to lay on my back to take a photo of it.. Ridiculous place for the serial number!! There is nothing intuitive about setting this machine up.

I bought this printer yesterday, and after 6 hours, I still cannot get it set up. I have Macintosh. There are no instructions apparent to connect the computer and get the thing working. The Epson website does not enable easy set up instructions for Macintosh.

The really enjoy the Epson brand of printers. They are easy to setup, use, and maintain. Additionally, the quality of the Epson brand printouts are excellent. The wireless printing feature makes it extremely easy to print from my home computer, but also my mobile devices. I cannot imagine why a buyer would chose another brand. Another positive factor I love about the all in one scanner, copier, fax, etc. is the ink tanks! They are easy to fill, check the toner levels, and do NOT run out quickly. I truly believe that I won’t be required to buy ink more than a few times a year. For a person using this in their home for personal or small business use, this is a big cost savings. Other printers required me to replace the ink cartridges way too soon and ran out at the most inconvenient times, since I could not see their levels. I've been using Epson supertank printers for quite some time now. I must say that my expectations were set really high. And boy, this printer really pleased me. Epson has continued the tradition of delivering great product which are a lot of value for the user. I've been a fan of the supertank life without cartridges. Gives me a sense of freedom and peace of mind. The included ink bottles last a long time...fill it, shut it, forget it. And when it's done, just repeat. Coming to the ET-4850, I got a white one and the subtle design patterns make it look good. The touchscreen is better as compared to the ET-4750. Setting up the printer was a breeze. Really like the bot experience. Appreciate that the bot didn't serialize everything (process engineering at work :-)) The print quality is great, and the option for duplex makes it convenient. You'll also find convenience in the scanning department, where you can choose to scan to computer or cloud. And did I mention that you can print by sending an email to the 'printer'. Looks like Epson is out to cut all the wires...except the power cord I suppose. This printer has been poor since purchase. It was the most difficult to set up of any I've had, printing is slow, ink use is fast, and the document feeder works about 1 out of 5 times that I try to use it, meaning I can't use it most of the time. I purchased an Epson because a previous Epson was my favorite printer, ever.

EcoTank ET-4850 Wireless printer is a solid product. everything right from the start was FOOL PROOF. The app was very easy to use for set up. filling the ink tanks was very easy. the only real issue during setup was the wireless. i did not have trouble connecting the printer to the network. But struggled trying to print wirelessly. Totally my error iPad was connected to wrong network. Print quality was very good . Balck and white was crisp. Color was decent. The only complaint or issue I have with this printer is, not the fastest when printing color. Not really a big deal. I would definitely recommend this printer. Epson all in one ET-4850 is replacing my ET-4750 that has 40,000 printouts and still working. I wanted 2 printers to print different media without having to keep changing it. I am very happy with all of my Epson products. The ECO tank is why I bought these printers. Great print quality in all modes.
