Waste of time
Ordered 2 tires online and waited several weeks for them to come in. At no time was anything mentioned about having to schedule an appointment for an install. Received an email stating tired were in and now I must schedule an install. I called the local store to do so and, as all calls are, it was transferred to El Salvador. Unfortunately I don't speak Spanish and this gentleman barely spoke English. After awhile I was finally scheduled for an appointment in about 3 weeks. My wife wanted to see if we could get them installed sooner so she called the local store, again El Salvador, except this woman dod not speak English. So we decided to go into the store. We were totally ignored. Employees just walked past us and would not respond. No choice but to wait. I go in at the scheduled time and an employee who just seemed miserable came to the counter. After q0 minutes of trying to find me in the system l, he tells me they probably won't just do two tires. He wants to look at the vehicle. Two front tires are perfectly fine with more than enough tread. He tells me that I have to order two more tires and go through the process again. Moral of story, shop local. This place has zero customer service. Totally ridiculous attitude.
Won't install less than 4 tires
Ordered 2 tires and I added $40 for the install of 2 tires, it says nothing about requiring 4, schedule the appointment and get there and then they tell me they will only install 4. Fine, if that's what you're going to do, tell me upfront and maybe don't let people order and pay for install on less than 4????
Andrew is the best
We came in this morning to get tires without an appointment and after ringing us up, we got a call back a few minutes later and were informed that we did not actually need to have them changed. Andrew explained what was causing the problem and that new tires would not solve it. He gave us a full refund and saved us tons. We have been going to Sam's for years and this was the best experience all do to Andrew's friendliness, helpfulness and knowledge. Truly a top tier employee.
Flat Repair
Bought 4 Goodyear tires. so about 5 months wanted a re-balance. Made an appointment was there early, was told it could be up to 3 hrs I left. Had a slow leak in one drove the vehicle there gave the keys went shopping 30mins or so, car still sitting outside. Waited for about another 30 mins. Got my keys and left. So i decided to take the tire off myself took it to the shop for a flat repair told them I will pick it up tomorrow. Came back after I got off work said the tire was repaired. Got it home only had 21 psi. Found the nail in it plugged it myself made a video of it leaking went back about a week later and showed them no response Store in OverlandPark Ks.
The guys were great - management not much
I got new tires on my Jeep and the guys doing the work were great. However, they incorrectly reported the mileage on my vehicle. The mileage is reported as 22,000 miles more than is actually on the car. Luckily, I got a message from carfax letting letting me know. Prior to that, I had no idea that my decision to buy tires at Sam's Club would be reported anywhere. This causes carfax to report that I don't maintain my car and then, when I go to sell it, it will look like I have Illegally interfered with the odometer. I have not. I contacted Heather at Sam's Club who basically asked me what I wanted her to to do about it. I told her that I want her to fix it. If she can't fix it, I would like for her to get someone who can fix it. She did get back to me twice - both times trying to blame the matter on me. I'm not the one that typed the wrong mileage on there and I had no idea it would be reported to Carfax. I suppose Sam's Club is fine unless you have a problem. The likelihood of having problems with Sam's Club is greater than many other places because it seems that no one cares about what he or she is doing. Then, when you have a problem, no one wants to fix it.
Tires
Ordered tires online and it took about 2 weeks. I had an appointment for my tires and I arrived early was one of the first ones there. They said they would call me when it was done, and I waited for 3 hours. I approached them and they said the truck has been sitting in the parking lot for a while. When I mentioned to them, why didn't no one call me, they said sorry and handed the me the keys. No sympathy, they acted like they didn't care.. Never again.
Terrible Service after initial installation
A flat repair will either take you 8 hours to sit and wait on them to fix, or you can schedule an appointment but it will be a week out. Does a lot of good on a flat repair. Waste of service and customer service! I called 15 times, left 3 messages before finally asking for a manager to get someone to schedule me an appointment. Just a joke all the way around. I won't buy tires here again because they can't service them.
Poor communication about installation appointments
The only complaint I have with tire installation is the lack of communicating from my local club or Sam's in general to inform me I could have made an appointment and not wandered around the store for 4 hours waiting on the tires to be put on. That was not an option the last time I needed tires or if it was they never told me then either. Several opportunities to tell me this: 1.When I completed my online order. 2.When they emailed me to tell me my tires had been delivered to my local Sam's and ready for pickup. 3. When I showed up at the club and told the guy my tires had came in and I wanted to have them installed. Only when I picked up my keys after a 4 hour wait did the guy mention to me that they now do appointments for installation and rotation/balance etc. and that you are usually in and out in less than an hour. That should have been the first thing I was told when they confirmed my tires were there and ready for installation. But as far as the service on rotation etc. this Sam's location has always been top notch with my previous purchases on my wife's Outback
Not what you expect from new tires.
We bought 8 new tires for 2 vehicles 2 years ago. We went with a higher mile warranty and did the better install for the road hazard and rotation. Within a few months my husband's tire started going flat, we took it in and they said they couldn't find a leak and they would try to repair the valve stem. Today we took it to another shop after we kept refilling it for about a year, it had a nail in it, the tire was ran flat too many times and we just had to buy another new tire. The service center is never open, and what use is buying a higher milage tire when you don't get the use out of it and they are never open to do repairs. Very disappointed and frustrated. Do not use the tire center.
Buyer Beware! In Joplin anyway
We recently purchased tires for my mother-in-law, and she has had them rotated at each oil change—most recently less than a month ago. However, I have now discovered that the inner tread on both the front and rear driver-side tires is completely worn. It appears that the technicians did not inform her of this issue at any point. Given that the tread wear is identical on both front and rear, it's clear they were rotated without addressing the dangerously worn inner edges. When I visited Sam's Club to raise this concern, the representative did not examine the vehicle or review her service history. Instead, she dismissed my concern, stating, “If the tires were in that condition, we wouldn't have rotated them.” While I understand that the underlying problem may relate to the vehicle's alignment or suspension, it would have been immensely helpful—and much more responsible—if Sam's Club had at least brought the excessive inner wear to our attention. Frankly, their unwillingness to engage with the issue when presented was deeply disappointing, and not the level of service I expected.
