Purchased 4 new tires Aug. 2024. The employees were friendly and polite. However you have to be aware these days and follow up and check behind people's work for your own safety. The next morning I checked the tire pressures and lug nut torque. I only drove @ 5 miles home and parked. The manufactures recommended cold PSI is 35 ( door sticker very readable ). 3 of my tires were 33 psi and one was 40 psi.The torque for the lug nuts is 150 lbs for my vehicle. I have my own calibrated torque wrench and went over each wheel. Half the lug nuts were 120-140 lbs. and the others were the correct 150. One hubcap was not fully seated and and most likely would've been lost if not corrected. I've noticed changes in personnel in the last few years and this may not bode well in the long term. I made the corrections to pressures and torque.

The Sams Club installation package is convenient and reasonable, but I've had several issues with the installation team's work. On my two recent tire installations, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) caution light has illuminated after installing the tires. I don't know whether this situation is coincidental or a result of the installation team damaging the sensor in the wheel when removing and replacing the tires. I do know that the TPMS wasn't on prior to the work. On a recent tire rotation, the team over-torqued the lug nuts thus distorting the rotor. Sams Club reimbursed the cost of smoothing out the rotor. In a time with high personnel turnover, unknown training, and casual attitudes, I suspect the quality of work in the Installation Package that Sams Club provides.

It took 5 or 6 trips on subsequent days to the tire department, a visit to our mechanic and his tire shop, and getting the Sam’s Club manager involved to have four new tires that were installed and balanced to not go flat or set off the low tire sensors. We have purchased tired from Sam’s Clubs for both of our vehicles many times in the past but this will be our last, at least at this local Sam’s Club. This has been the most aggravating and frustrating event a person can experience after purchasing new tires from this department. The purpose of the new tires was to ensure a safe vehicle for every day use and travel. Constant issues, a flat, car driving wobbly due to being defective and unbalanced and constantly dealing with a low pressure alert, took away from our security in driving one of the safest vehicles on the road. Thankfully, we finally requested the assistance of the manager. Even afterwards, there was another issue on a brand new replacement until he spent time in the tire shop to ensure the problems were resolved.

I will always buy my tires at Sam's. The savings are incredible. The service is next to none. I ordered the tire I wanted online, made the installation appointment. Within 45 min tire were installed. I appreciate the advice for maintenance of the tires. I wouldn't buy any where else.

Employees at check and scan at the exit front doors need training. Customers that are having tires installed and had gone shopping and had been scanned at the exit door need to be told to exit the store and take their shopping cart around to the outside of the tire department. Not to be told to go back through the store to the tire department as we were. We were not allowed to go through the tire department with our grocery cart. When we went back to the store exit door we complained about the misdirection. The exit door employee told us that we were rude!!!!! We had just spent over $1040.00 in Sam’s Club and were misdirected and insulted.!!!! However the tire department employee was very courteous and our new tires are terrific.

After purchasing the tires I showed for the install. 5 minutes after they took my car they refused to install the tires citing swollen lug nuts as the issue. The stated I would need to buy new ones and replace them all myself before the would install. Returned all 4 tires for a refund. Went to Pep Boys instead. They had no problem removing the lug nuts, and even put on a new set I had bought myself from AutoZone for free.

First time I’ve purchased tires from Sam’s and found the scheduling and installation convenient and professional. The warranty, tire rotation and road hazard package is similar to specialty stores. I anticipate good service if/when take advantage of the package.

tires were not properly balanced in the first place. I took it to a body shop where a relative work and I also paid to take it to an alignment shop and both places couldn't find anything wrong with my truck and told me to look at my rims and they showed me where a bunch of weight were glued on and several were missing, so now I have to drive around for several weeks waiting on an appointment at Sam's club to get it redone basically

I was thankful Sams ordered the tires I needed and I voiced my concern that the TPMS light was on. I asked if the pressure sensors could be replaced during the tire replacement but they told me the sensor tech was not in. Now I have to bring my car back to get the sensors replaced!

From my first conversation with the tire store representative to the follow up visit to have the lug nuts tightened, the service was excellent. I'm also pleased with the quality of the tires and the "extras" (roadside service, complimentary tire rotation every 6-7,000 miles, etc.) that came with the purchase. Plus, the price was better than at other stores I researched, based in part on my being a Sam's Club Plus member and purchasing the tires when free installation was being offered. The car drives well and I'm pleased with the overall experience at Sam's tire department. Every person I dealt with was highly informative and professional. Thank you! Tricia
