Going above and beyond

The crew was not busy because their compressor was down. They said I could leave my trailer in the parking lot, they would work on the tires after they got a new compressor hooked up. They called about 4 hours later and said they were done. The compressor was not installed, however they chose to try their skills at tire replacement the old fashion way.

The tires were a good value. Once on we noticed the quietness of them on the road. The installation was pretty quick. The staff worked with us to make sure we got the best deal possible and we were setup to get the tires installed as soon as possible. The tire package was explained in detail.

Having bad luck

Tire installation

I just have bad luck. For the second time this year a bolt was broken off my wheel. This entailed me having to go to the dealership for repair. (Twice this year). The young man that broke the news to me the second time proceeded to tell me he " hated " Subarus and would never buy one. ( in more words than that). He did not apologize and nonchalantly said "it happens". I had to drive out to the dealership and wait 1 hr and 45 min for the repair . ( twice this year!). The manager was kind and understanding and gave us no problem getting reimbursed for the work. I only wish the actual workers would be more careful with their air wrenches and more respectful when there is a mistake. The worker was short tempered and I don't feel he was correct about insulting me and my Subaru. Sam's should not let that young man deal with customers. They should actually give him training on how to install tires more carefully!

Decided on new tires within 10 days of trip departure and had no problem getting timely install to give me a chance to get the driving feel of new tires before leaving. Excellent service and tire suggestions for my 2017 Subaru Forester. (Got in on $100 savings on 4 tires....yay! ) Thanks to the Hendersonville Sams Club Tire Dept. personnel.

First disappointment

We had to have one tire replaced due to a small staple in tire. My wife took the car and I told her to bring home the staple. I was shocked how small it was so not sure how the tired had to be replaced. Even with road hazard, the replacement tire was over $100. The new tire was over 2/32 greater than the existing tires which concerned me since the car is AWD. I was assured via phone that was only an issue with Subaru’s. While there I asked my wife to have the tires rotated. I normally do this but since it was there I told her just to have them do it. They did it backwards from the mfg recommended pattern in the owners manual. I know this as the new tire should have been on the left front as back tires go to front and fronts are crisscrossed to the rear. The new tire ended up on the right front so the performed the rotation incorrectly. I am hoping this does not cause irregular wear as my wife traveled quite a distance to work after repair. So disappointed with this encounter; however, I have been getting tire service and tire replacement from the last 20 + years with Sam’s Club and will continue to do so.

Bad experience!!

Made an appointment for 11am to have 4 New Tires put on my car. 1) Was never told or instructed on how or where to drop off car for the installation!! 2) Once the car was dropped off, was waiting in line and observed several customers walk wanting to purchase a car battery and have it installed. 3) It appeared that the walk ins were getting taken care of, and me and another gentleman who made an appointment for service waited almost 3 hrs. 4) What’s the point of making an appointment!!!! When walk ins get taken care of FIRST!!!!! First time buyer of tires at Sam’s and service!!! Not a Good experience at ALL!!!!

Don't Trust Tread Depth and Tire Pressure Readings

After having to make a follow-up visit, it became obvious to me that the information on the paperwork which I received upon purchase contained false and misleading information. I made the follow-up visit because I had been told that I had been charged for the warrantied tire that was being replaced based on a tread depth of 4/32. The paperwork that I had received at the time of purchase indicated that the tread depth of the other three tires, which had all been purchased at the same time as the tire being replaced, was measured at 9/32. When I told them of the discrepancy, they had an employee measure the tread depth of the three remaining tires while I was present and the readings were 8/32, 7/32, and 6/32. It was obvious that the initial readings had never been done. Similarly, the paperwork that I received indicated that the tire pressure of all three tires was measured at 29 psi, but the vehicle's onboard tire pressure system and an independent measurement by a tire gauge indicated that two of the tires were at 37 and 38 psi. Again, a clear indication that the information presented on the paperwork had been falsified and was misleading.

Will never use Sam’s auto services again.

I had an early A.M. appointment to have tires installed on my car at The Deptford NJ store. I had to wait because the mechanic was late showing up for work. When he finally showed, his eyes were half open and he wreaked of marijuana. I asked him if he works on peoples’ cars when he’s high and his response was, “I have a medical exemption, thank you very much”. I highly doubt Sam’s Club’s insurance carrier allows for medical marijuana exemptions for employees who work on customer cars. Especially suspension work. The suspension is the most critical part of the car. I canceled my tires and asked for a refund. I would rather spend $200-$300 more at a tire chain store than have someone who is high and with a bad attitude touch my car. From here on out I wouldn’t let Sam’s Club put air in my tires.

Unprofessional service

The service man was very unprofessional. He didn't give us a choice on the tire. We had a tire that had a tack in it. We ask if it could be patch. He said no because we had the tire package on it and we would get a discount on the tire because of the road hazard. Then he pulled the tack out and said the tire is going flat so he would not honor the road hazard We will probably not purchase tires at Sams again. Previously we had purchased all of our tires at Sams.
