I was concerned we might need an appointment to purchase and install a set of four new tires. The nationwide Sam’s Club employee assured us we did not need an appointment and would be accommodated as a walk-in as efficiently as possible. We were lucky, as we arrived at our local Sam's Club at a time which turned out NOT to be busy.

Calibrate your equipment

The technicians are wonderful, but I believe that the tire balancer at my Sam's needs to be recalibrated. I bought a new set of tires for my 4Runner, but I had to come back in because there was a wobble. They checked my tires, and I was told that I might have to come back in for one of the tires because it was calling for more weight than usual. I did have to bring it back in for a new tire due to the wobble. At that time, I was told that it was my wheel that was defective, and I needed to take it to my Toyota dealership. I took my 4Runner to the dealership, they tested my wheel and found nothing wrong with the wheel. They balanced the wheel with less weight than Sam's did, and now there is no wobble. This cost me an extra $110. and Toyota suggested I let Sam's know that there may be something wrong with their balancing machine.

What a sad excuse for customer service.

I am not able to review the tires because I do not actually have them yet. I’m sitting in the Sam’s Club cafe waiting for installation. Ordered 2 weeks ago. Promised a call upon delivery to store. No call. Today I’m told “We don’t call anybody. We email you.” Sadly, no email either — though I have received 6 emails from Sam’s Club asking me to rate my experience. Clearly those emails got through, but absolutely no notice letting me know the tires I’ve been waiting for were delivered and sitting in the rack.

It was terrible. Please Read.

Very disappointed with installation process. Told it would be 1 hour and then 2 1/2 hours later I had to tell them that I needed to go. I felt hostage. Also, they lied on the receipt because they said that they reset the valve stems or TPMS. They replaced my tires with valve stems that are not TPMS compliant so there is no way they reset them and now I have warning light on all the time. I did a manual TPMS reset and it did not fix it.

Tire Installation Package in itself, is good, however, SAM's Club should hire people that are more qualified to deal with customer's vehicles and not young kids that appeared to be High Schoolers who ended up costing me $74 for replacing three Wheel Caps that they broke while removing my tires for replacement!!

Tire and battery centers -Hire more people !!!!

The 2 men working Mt Nebo Point Sams club are excellent. My experience with your tire and battery center NOT GOOD. Several of your Tire and Battery Centers in the Pittsburgh area are understaffed. Making it extremely difficult to get an appointment. When you call customer service they suggest you just walk in. You can’t get an appointment but you should just walk in . Makes no sense. Took over 6 weeks to my tires replaced under warranty.

Beware of Tire Installations

First issue was appointment time I was given was incorrect. 2nd issue was me waiting an extra 45 minutes for my car because I never received a call it was done. 3rd and most important... my tire pressure warning system came on within 25 miles of me leaving Sam's. I had to stop at a Honda service facility and ALL 4 of the tires were over inflated. The correct PSI for my car was stated on the door panel AND the maximum PSI was also stated on the tire but the guidelines were not followed. I requested to be contacted by a Tire Center manager more than once but I never received a call from anyone from the Sam's club on Power Inn Rd in Sacramento or customer service.

Unpleasant Experience

Bad experience. I had a new tire installed which they put on the back of the car. When I picked up my car, went around the block and it was pulling to the right so I drove right back and they took it into the garage. Within minutes, they had me out of there. The one man argued with me when I aksed him to reset the low pressure indicator telling me that they don't do that. He told me that I needed to buy all new tires!!!! I went home with my car pulling to the right still. Turns out, they let me leave there with ONLY 10 lbs of pressure in my tire. Horrible experience. It was the bald man that waited on me. He has a very nasty attitude.

Lack of effort!

I purchased the tire and had to wait over a week for the tire to come in. The day I came in to have my one tire installed, it decided it was going to pour down rain. After waiting for about an hr they called me back to the service desk to tell me one of my studs was stripped and i would have to have it fixed before they would put the tire on. I asked if i could just take the tire and have it put on where they fixed the stud. Of course you can do that but the warranty that we would put on the tire will no longer be valid. I assured the technician i would have tge stud fixed inthe morning first thing then bring my car back for installation. The next day i did as i said and had the stud repaired and brought my car back to have them put on the tire. The technician told me it would be over a 2 hr wait because there were 2 people ahead of me. In my opinion nobody there that day should have been considered aheadvof me because id been dealing with this since the day before. Instead of getting agitated i decided to return the tire and take my business elsewhere. Did i really want individuals changing my tire when all the 2 individuals in front of me were having done was very minor as was mine and it was going to take them 2 hrs to complete jobs that shouldn't have taken 45 min total to complete
