[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this about a month ago and it has been a learning curve as it is so different from our other washers. The one thing I do not like is the amount of water in the tub on a normal cycle as it isn't enough to cover the clothes in it. This leaves them dirty and smelly. We have to use another setting to get enough water but other than that, we like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this when we decided to get rid of our old front loader. I love the large capacity. What I used to do in 2-3 loads I can do in 1 now. I also love that I can wash my king size comforter in it! I like the variety of washes from a deep wash to a quick one. I really enjoy that it has an app and will notify me when the cycle ends. I do find it is gentler on the clothes than the front loader or an agitator. However it hasn’t had any trouble getting out my 3year old or 8month olds messes. I have had to do a little pre scrub or a second wash every once in a while on the 8month olds messes but it still gets the job done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get my new LG washer delivered today. I started a load of bedding which consisted of a lightweight coverlet, one sheet and two pillowcases. The tub filled up with water which was a lot nicer than my last washer that would barely wet the clothes, so of course I sat and watched my clothes go through the cycles and to my disappointment the bedding floated at the top while the washer shifted back and forth. The bedding never changed positions as if it was actually being washed. It floated around in a circle and only changed positions in the spin cycle. This is extremely disappointing.

I just purchased this washer and am very disappointed on how it works. My previous washer (which I will be fixing and re-using) is 20 years old and I have the ability to adjust the water level. I understand that the new washers have this done by the computer but there is a problem with the water level. If I select a normal wash, I am not able to remove the turbo wash option. The machine uses very little water and most of the clothing isn't even submerged in water. If you select the deep fill option it does work but it uses way too much water. I also used the bedding cycle and that uses way too much water for bedding sheets. It should be called a comforter setting instead. I also had some steam end up on my floor after a few cycles. Not exactly sure if this is normal or not. Furthermore there is also a little pool of water on the impeller after the end of the cycle dripping from the laundry detergent. While the impeller is plastic it shouldn't be there IMO. LG please give users the ability to select their OWN water level if the stupid computer can't figure it out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought matching washer/dryer July 6th washer is fine dryer has drum light that only comes on immediately after use If you want to check dryer drum at later time No Light comes on seems like a design flaw to me If i want to make sure dryer is empty before use I bring a flash light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our 10yo LG Top Loader after the control board went out on the old one. We were so impressed with how the old unit worked we continued with LG. This new unit does loads even faster, uses less water (but plenty to saturate all items and clean well), is very simple to use, and is a great value for the cost. The new design makes reaching items in the bottom of the tub easier. We’ve had the new unit for a couple weeks and have run NUMEROUS loads of every kind and variety, including small loads to very full loads - everything comes out clean! It is amazing how it can spin at 950rpm and be so quiet with virtually no vibration. Very easy to set up and maintain. Control panel took some adjusting to use but is simple once we identified our preferred settings. Black top and control panel does gather fingerprints but is easily wiped down. Consumer Reports had this listed as their 2nd best Top Loading Impeller Washer, only 1 point behind the #1 washer which was also an LG! We are very pleased with our purchase. Highly recommended!!

Please someone just help me figure out the cycles? Whats best for fluffy blankets? I’m really confused with the bedding cycle. (Actually all of the cycles) It says to use it to wash bed items. But it also says non absorbent bed items. That’s confusing to me because everything absorbs. I tried that cycle for 2 bed blankets, okay yes both fluffy. It stopped, the washer turned off. Had to disconnect it and power it again and the tub was full of water. So confused. I had to do the spin only option to drain the water. Then I tried to wash another blanket but now In normal cycle . The water was drained but the blanket was really wet, soaked. Had to do the spin only cycle again. Last time I’m washing a blanket that’s “non absorbent”, it’s not cotton and it’s not fluffy. It says it will take its 50 min to wash ???.?.? Why so long ? It’s only one blanket, doesn’t take that much space. Makes no sense to be because it should last less than that’s. I say no more than 35 is okay for me. But it washed and no issues.

Purchased unit. After received, found that "Normal" cycle always defaults to HOT water. Looked for a way to program the cycle to permanently accept COLD water for the "Normal" cycle and you cannot do it! Also, if you want to use the THinQ app and change to cold, it will not allow you to change settings for preset cycles, you can only change at the machine directly and only for that one wash. This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Most current articles tell you not to use HOT for washing, yet this machine default to HOT for the "normal" cycle. I have to change it manually at the machine every time and it is not possible to use the app because the app rejects any changes to present cycles. I may have to return it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine holds an incredible amount of clothing. It is quiet and efficient. It gets my clothes clean and lets me know via phone notifications when they are done. It even syncs load type with my dryer!

My husband and I purchased this a month ago and I have to say that the more I use it, the more I like this washing machine! I didn't think the app would be especially beneficial, but it is as it lets me know when it's time to clean it. When cleaning towels that are especially dirty, using the Deep Clean cycle really works well. The only thing I do not like about this washing machine is that there was no all-white option - the lid is black with dark charcoal lettering so it is very hard to see. The designers should have an all-white option!!
