I bought this washer for my horse barn. It has a large capacity for washing horse blankets. So far it has been doing a great job. Sometimes we have to use extra rinse with extra dirty blankets but they come out nice.

New Washer WT8400CW from LG
Our first LG have been Maytag for the last 35 years. Went with Consumer Report recommendation. Very quiet. It would be great if there was a breakdown of what spin, soil cycles to choose for the different types of loads. Our previous washer had a selection for delicate , I guess we are left to determine how we set it up by selecting the spin and soil from low to high. Otherwise we have put through 6 washes so far and all is great.

Running well Cleans well Quiet , spin cycle is the loudest but still quieter than our old machine . Features are nice and easy to navigate . Because of companies making adhawk changes to use of product I suggest do not give machine access to your internet for updates and such. You may be forced into pay for use and or loose your right to sue .You may be forced into arbitration on any dispute . All this will and may occur during a future update . Read up on this new trend .

Super washer; clearer feature instructions, please
This is a great washer! I'm still learning about its features! I like that the water level is adjusted to the size of the load. I set up my phone with the app and it's great to have a notification when the load has finished, and that the app keeps track of the number and types of loads for machine cleaning. I do find that some of the features (e.g. ‘deep fill') are not clearly explained in the machine manual. I do end up googling questions and reading information from other users. Clearer instructions about each feature/icon would be most helpful!

Avoid buying this machine
I have been using this washer for 2 months now and I am very disappointed. The detergent dispensing tray on this top load washer is very poorly designed. The detergent does not fully rinse from the tray and once a wash cycle is done, the leftover residue that's sitting in the tray and along the dispenser chute continue to drip onto the finished load. So unless the clothes are removed instantly after the cycle is done, you will return to your machine to fine a large puddle of detergent sitting on top of your freshly rinsed clothes forcing you to run another rinse & drain cycle. This is a definite flaw in the dispenser design as my machine is perfectly level, excellent water pressure, and I use a detergent with a very thin viscosity. So no excuses there.
I am truly sorry for the frustration this dispenser issue has caused you over the past two months. I completely understand how disappointing it is to find detergent dripping onto your freshly cleaned clothes, especially when you have already ensured the machine is level and your water pressure is excellent. This is certainly not the seamless experience we want for you. To help address the residue buildup, we recommend cleaning the dispenser drawer weekly to ensure the siphon valves are completely clear. Worse products ever. Do better LG!
I bought this within the past 2 months and I've never been so disappointed with an LG product as I am in this washer / dryer set. I only ever use the recommended liquid laundry detergent and fabric softener that is allowed in the drawer yet when my clothes have been washed and I take them out they're completely covered in fabric softener still. I then have to rinse my clothes again. Honestly LG what are you thinking putting your name to this garbage. Between the washer not completely washing my clothes I am then faced with damp clothes coming from the dryer 😞 I end up having to finish drying denims using a clothes rack. You can do better than this! I've purchased lots of LG products and this pair of appliances is your worst to date!

Do not buy
This is the worst washer we’ve ever used and we’ve used many washers. The water sensor doesn’t work, you have to stand there and babysit it to make sure that there’s enough water to cover clothing (never is) and you have to get in there during the wash cycle to push the clothes around or you’ll have detergent stains. Clearly, nothing is getting cleaned. You’re better off with a manual washboard and a bucket. The app is a joke. Also, LG won’t let you complete a review if you select one star. You have to select more stars to get to the review screen, and only then can you go back and select one star. I guess if your product is garbage you have to be slimy like that. Never again, LG.
