This will not disappoint you

I'm a Mexican American woman who usually gets out carnitas from our local Mexican food store, and it's usually about $6 per pound. However, every time we get it from there, they give you large chunks of fat and gristle, which just ruins it. After trying a sample of these carnitas inside sam's club, we thought we'd buy a batch. No regrets because both me, my mama and my hubby LOVED these carnitas! I want to buy a huge supply now. I just wonder if I can freeze them so I can stock up. They have an expiration date of a couple months, but who knows how long they'll be available. We eat them with El Milagro corn tortillas, cilantro, lime and avocado. Plus a side of my mom's Mexican rice. The perfect dinner after an ice storm.

Excellent flavor

For only $13 plus tax I got 2 pounds of well seasoned pork. I warmed slowly in a iron skillet. Then I used my shredder claws to pull it apart. The 1st meal we ate the pork in flour tortillas, 2nd meat we made a nice crunchy taco salad. The meat was very tender and very lean. You could use it in the original chunks and pair with potatoes and veggies. So many options!

Easy dinner option

As a parent of two picky teens, finding a meal that they will both eat is rare. This pork makes for perfect and versatile dishes every time. I have prepared it from both the microwave and air fryer instructions and highly recommend the air fryer preparation. It makes for flavorful and tender pork. We love this in tacos or tortilla wraps. I hope Sam’s Club keeps it year round. It is amazing!

Great ready to eat carnitas.

These are great for an easy dinner. These are not your traditional-full-flavor-authentic carnitas since they are cooked and packed, so don't fool yourself! but these are a convenient close-to- authentic-and-delicous carnitas. They taste great, reheat super easy and can be chopped down more for tenderness. I am a big fan of this product!

Outstanding & Tastes Homemade

I bought this based upon a sample and it did not disappoint. I warmed it up over low-medium, added about 1/3 cup water, on the stovetop in a covered saucepan for about 30 min til hot. It shredded so easy. Served with tortillas, cheese, sour cream but you could add avocado, pico, pickled onion, serve plain. Tender & juicy!

home run!

Wow Sams!! WTG. This is everything I wanted it to be-affordable -convenient -Delicious -flexible. I made the package for a family of 4. Plenty of leftovers(lasted a minute anyway) used it for tacos Heated in a skillet while I chopped onion and cilantro - stirred it , put a layer of corn tortillas under the lid of the skillet to soften them. Bam! A literal 5 minute dinner that everyone really liked. Next time I’ll put in a shake of cumin for our taste and have more vegetable condiments. But this would lend itself to so many options- I hope they change their mind on limited time-because I will truly miss this. PS- it does have some fat included- carnitas do But it isn’t excessive to ratio and not off putting and is really complimentary with some fresh ingredient toppings think pick de gallo, onion, fine cabbage etc.

Amazing!!

We have made this in so many different ways, every time it was amazing….. You can’t go wrong with this meat, it isn’t absolutely delicious. We served in a Wonton wrap with coleslaw as an appetizer everyone just loved it and continued saying how good it was.

Amazingly tender and flavorful. A must try!

They had samples sonI knew it was going to be delicious. But so was still surprised at how tender and flavorful it is. We put our package in the freezer where it sat for probably 3 months. I took it out yesterday and let thaw in the counter until i was ready to prepare. It was still somewhat frozen when i heated up in the microwave. I cut slits in the pouch and placed in a bowl to microwave. It was very juicy and delicious. We had it in zero carb tortillas with slaw on top. Surprisingly tender and delicious. I mean amazing for prepackaged pork. We have already added it to our shopping list. I hope it’s not a limited time item.

2 lbs goes a long way!

I had never tasted carnitas before, though had this recommended on a You Tube channel I follow. I wasn’t sure how this was packaged inside the container, but froze it as is before using. I thawed it overnight in the fridge and heated it up in a pan. There are only two of us at home now, so we got a number of meals out of this. First served with small flour tortillas, with slices of lime, fresh cilantro and Pico salsa. Second night made rice bowls with lime cilantro rice, a few corn tortilla chips, Pico salsa and shredded cheese. Used the rest as carnitas burritos simply rolled up and heated in the microwave with salsa on the side. I definitely will purchase this again, though will break down the package into smaller portions and freeze. This is a great thing to have in the freezer for a very quick meal.

So good

My household loves this. Even my 84yr old grandmother couldn't stop talking about how good it is. I add a little oil to a pan and heat it that way. Only seasoning I add is a bit of cumin and some garlic powder since my family prefers the strong taste of both. I've served them with soft corn tortillas, in burritos, in omelets, and in rice bowls. It's a hit every time!
