Cheap junk! Rust bucket!

This thing wasn't cheap, but didn't last two years. The axle rusted inside the hub where you can't access it to clean or lubricate. No replacement parts available, ‘just throw it away'!

Edge guard cable broken

I purchased the pro model 3 years ago and was happy with the product. Edge guard was worth having and the pneumatic tires made this a premium product. However, the cable for the Edgeguard has broken. Disappointed that this only lasted a few seasons.

Junk didn't even last one year

Junk. If you could give zero stars I would. Edge guard broke in 6 months, never dropped correct amount. Less than 5000 sq feet. Babied this piece of scrap.Cleaned every use. Do not buy

Disappointed of the Scotts Pro Pro Edgeguard sprea

I bought this about 3 weeks ago and I found out that the plate was broken and I can't return it. Also, a few days ago I sent an email to you about this and got no reply. Thank you.

trying one more time because i love scotts

Bought this spreader 2 years ago. It did have air tires then. Two weeks ago it broke while using and I was unaware for 1/2 the lawn. Now I have embarrassing stripes. Bought the same to replace because I am a Scott's fan. Noticed they now have plastic wheels. It will be a few weeks before the new one is tried.

Poor quality

I bought this a few months ago from a local home improvement store. The spreader didn't perform all that well when it did. Furthermore, the plastic shaft has failed like others have mentioned. This spreader was definitely not worth the money it cost and i am outside of the return window at the retailer.

Terribly disappointed.

I remember using a quality Scotts spreader for lawn care many years ago. My wife picked up this new spreader for me to seed a new area of lawn surface. After setting the spreader at the proper setting I began seeding. The Scotts grass seed dropped one here...four there.... nine hundred thirty three there and nothing for three feet and so on. On the bright side the Edge Guard didn't let a single seed fly to the right. On my second attempt the results were the same.

Horrible tires

I have used this spreader twice. I am ready to replace it. The tires are the only problem. The inner tubes are fine but one rubber tire has a large flap on the bottom surface. When I try to add any air to the tire the flap opens up. I can add a photo if requested.

Lasted about a year and a half

The connecting rod from the gear box to the spin plate is made of plastic, the torque from using it snapped it in half. Lasted about 6 fertilization sessions and 2 overseedings on a 3/4 acre lot. When working the gate tended to get stuck open, resulting in some dumping of the product. Rain guard did not seem to fit securely, but never did come off.

Pro Edgeguard Speader

What a piece of junk. See these everywhere. Didn't see reviews first. Just bought, impeller doesn't turn, gear inside wheel slipping. They sell these using what USE TO BE a good brand. That's why companies go out of business. No more Scotts products for me. I can order spreaders and fertilizer form China w/o the middle man.
