The biggest advantage is the size- it has very large capacity and works so much better for sheets/blankets/comforters/ pillows. This has helped us cut down on the number of loads. We are family of 8 and we use our washing machine almost every single day. There are multiple temperature settings/ cycle settings which makes it convenient to operate. The fact that it can be operated through app is a great plus. The smart things app was very convenient to use too. It is so quite as compared to our old set of washer. I would highly recommend the washer and dryer to anyone who is looking to upgrade theirs.

Biggest initial difference was how much quieter this unit is - hardly any noise and no vibrations. There are a ton of different settings, so you can really customize the load based on what you need to do, how dirty your items are, and how much time you have. Another nice feature for those without a sink in their laundry room is the WaterJet option. The built in agitator makes a big difference in getting your clothes cleaner in a shorter amount of time (no more clumping of items in one area of the machine). The top-load feature eliminates the musty/moldy smell that seems to appear with front load units. I've also come to really like the SmartThings app - allowing me to see how much time is required to finish the load when I'm not in the same room, or even when I'm away from home. The notifications on my phone are very handy. The user interface of both the machine and the app are very straightforward allowing for a quick learning curve. Really had no need for the manuals. Set up of the machines and the app was fast and easy as well. Really happy with this purchase so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first time owning a topload washer, we were skeptical about it, but the washing cycle runs very quiet, spin cycle is also very quiet.. actually quieter than out old frontload washer. I connected my washer dryer set to Smartthings, it gives me notification when the cycle is done, I can even check in the app what exactly going now now and how much time is left. Large capacity but fits perfectly in our tiny laundry room.. Love the overall look.. Thumbsup from me!!

has Energy Star rating, most likely because spin is 750 rpm. (front loaders more like 1200 rpm). leaves items like jeans, flannel wet. increased my dry time x2. Energy savings??? Also no separate spin- only cycle ; this would allow one to reorganize the clothes and drain more water. on the plus side: deep fill, deep wash provides water to roughly 3/4 full, so real capacity is less, closer to 4cft, but that is still good. Does not clean as well as I would like, but good enough for today's machines. I would LOVE this machine if the spin was repeatable as a separate cycle OR they brought up the spin to 1000-1100 rpm. Lose the useless Energy Star designation and give us a machine that is AMAZING in flexibility.

The biggest learning curve for us - why didn't the water beginning filling the tub immediately? The washer actually spins to sense and identify the load mass, then calculates the needed washer and time. Only then does the actual water begin to fill. I had to look online to find out tidbit and appreciate the fellow reviewers that had stated so. After our learning curve, we are looking forward to17 Washing cycles. So many options and choices that we've only tested a handful in the week we have had it. Impressive items on the Washer are the WaterJet options (no sink needed), agitator for extra cleaning, and Super Speed Wash, decreasing the overall time. * I love the WaterJet option since a sink is not near the Washing Machine. * The Agitator is doing all as claimed by Samsung. I was able to watch it spin and work through the glass top. Software: SmartThings and Smart Care * SmartThings is a fantastic app. Not only does it provide real time information for your washing cycle, it helps understands all the available configuration options. The User Interface (UI) is very easy to use and follow. The barcode on the physical washer made it super easy for the software installation. * Need help troubleshooting a problem or code? Smart Care is there. It is a very helpful and intuitive user interface. If you still are stuck, support numbers are available in the app. Overall, we are impressed with our initial week of using the Samsung Washer and look forward to utilizing the full suite of options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product 3 months ago and very satisfied so far. It's smart features are easy to use and very quiet while washing the clothes. I like using the app on the phone and impressed with the notifications on the status of washing in other connected devices.

This is the most uneven and poorly made washing machine I have ever owned. Almost every cycle larger than halfway full it comes unbalanced and gives the "DC" error code. We are constantly very meticulously rebalancing and reorganizing our laundry, but the machine has part of its process where it spins back and forth and literally unbalances the contents itself! It cannot clean sheets, towels, or anything large because of this. Just constant unbalance and error code and beeping. Worst part is each time it comes unbalanced and the DC error code comes up, it drains and refills the water when you restart it! Such a massive waste of water constantly draining and refilling. I try to run "Spin Only" cycle and it fills with water too!! Even though there's a "Rinse and Spin" option it still fills with water on "Spin Only"! Our water bill has skyrocketed using this piece of crap. If you value your sanity and wallet do not buy this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the sleek modern styling and the black stainless steel is terrific. The large capacity means I can wash my comforters & quilts at home now. The performance is terrific, getting my laundry ckean the first time means no rewashing.

I bought both and the washer and dryer about a month and I feel like I made the biggest mistake. The washer machine is horrible, no matter the size of the load my clothes are never fully clean! I always have to wash the load twice or more. It’s so frustrating because he takes all day to wash two loads. The dryer is just as bad if not worst. The dryer is overly sensitive, it takes hours to dry a load, which only works if you set it to time dry! Please save your money and shop a different brand.

When I purchased this washer it was great. Now the washer is always displaying a U6 imbalance code. The only time my clothes spin out is when there is no clothes or very little clothes in the washer machine. I only have this issue on the last spin cycle.
