[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently replaced a 10-year old washer with this new Samsung. Biggest initial difference was how much quieter this unit is - hardly any noise and no vibrations. There are a ton of different settings, so you can really customize the load based on what you need to do, how dirty your items are, and how much time you have. Another nice feature for those without a sink in their laundry room is the WaterJet option. The built in agitator makes a big difference in getting your clothes cleaner in a shorter amount of time (no more clumping of items in one area of the machine). The top-load feature eliminates the musty/moldy smell that seems to appear with front load units. I've also come to really like the SmartThings app - allowing me to see how much time is required to finish the load when I'm not in the same room, or even when I'm away from home. The notifications on my phone are very handy. The user interface of both the machine and the app are very straightforward allowing for a quick learning curve. Really had no need for the manuals. Set up of the machines and the app was fast and easy as well. Really happy with this purchase so far.

The drum is so deep I have to stand on my tippy toes to reach the bottom so you can only imagine the amount of clothes that can fit! Love that the Vibration Reduction Technology reduces noises and vibrations. It is extremely quiet while running! The smart things app is so handy to start loads and know when they have finished. Would recommend!

I’ve had this washer barely 3 months and I keep having issues. won’t drain, won’t switch cycles, tub making grinding noise then stuck in lock position now the door lock not working What happened to Samsung being one of the best appliances out there. Would not reccomend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung has just raised the bar again for all its competition. Their new 5.4 cubic foot extra large capacity smart washer is unbelievable. It now comes with an active water jet so you can pre-treat your laundry before you start the wash cycle, speaking of that it has 12 preset wash Cycles. With Samsungs new technology, this washer reduces noise and vibration. This new washer has a soft closing lid so it doesn't slam, it's self-cleaning, it has 10 different wash options, five different temperature settings, and five different soil settings. Plus with the filters, it also helps to remove pet hair from your laundry. This thing is absolutely awesome. We did several loads this week and I can wash a full load of clothes now in 28 minutes. If you use the SmartThings app you can monitor the wash cycles and schedule the washer to start or stop

This washer has a design flaw in the suspension rods. The damper will not last long and when is damaged it will affect the spin cycle causing unbalanced load error. I had this problem after just a year and a half. You can change the suspensions rods by yourself but that will not solve the problem, they will be damaged again in 2-3 months. If you call the repair service it will cost at least half of the price of the washer. It is unbelievable that they are still selling this machine! Avoid to waste your money with the top load and buy a front load!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome washer for anyone who enjoys smart home devices and Samsung products.  As a washing machine, it preforms perfect like you would expect from a Samsung appliance.  I have washed numerous loads of laundry by now and have had no issues getting clothes of all types clean.  There are many different presets for different types of clothes or other laundry items.  The best part however, is the addition of the smart features.  It was extremely simple to connect to the Samsung Smart Things app. Once connected it can be easily controlled from the app.  You can set the exact settings you want and send them to the washer.  The best part is being able to see how much time is remaining and getting notifications when complete.  The only downside is that you have to remember to turn the washer on and enable smart control each time you use it.  As long as you remember to do this when putting the clothes in however, it isn't much of a problem.

I purchased this washing machine a few years ago, and unfortunately, it has not met my expectations. The machine frequently experiences unbalanced loads, resulting in extended cycle times and repeated interruptions. Additionally, water continuously runs during the spin cycle, even after the machine indicates an unbalanced load. This issue necessitates manual intervention to prevent the machine from transitioning from a spin-only cycle to a regular cycle, leading to excessive water and electricity consumption. Consequently, I have resorted to using a laundromat until I can obtain a replacement machine. Based on this experience, I respectfully suggest that Samsung focus primarily on electronics, as appliances do not appear to be their area of expertise.

Run for your life from this washer! If you like a high water bill then get it! Unfortunately it can’t handle spinning large and even small loads. It’s very iffy. Sometimes it will sometimes it won’t even after adjusting the load. It gets out of balance and then fills back up with fresh water multiple times until it’s balanced where it feels fit. We tried replacing the springs it seemed to help at first then back to UR or UB code. Until I get a new washer I can trust I have to babysit my laundry while I use this machine to make sure it doesn’t keep filling with water all day just to spin water from the laundry. Shameful!
