This vacuum is extremely heavy and awkward to move around. Even with long cord, it does not cover lots of ground with movement. It is hard to turn and heavy to carry. The hose attachment is awful. It is so stiff that I had to carry the vacuum instead of pulling hose. If I try to pull the hose, vacuum flips and falls. I even managed to break the plastic bin on one of the falls. Not as expected for sure.

I bought my Dyson smallball multifloor from its original owner more than two years ago, which might put it out of warranty, unfortunately. Today I started it and within 30 seconds the engine died, and will no longer start. It was a wonderful machine, but as rugged and sturdy as it is I did not expect the model's premature death. Unless there is a reset button with which I am not familiar, the vacuum seems to be a goner, or perhaps you can familiarize me with some troubleshooting steps I could be overlooking.

This unit has very good suction. better than average. Cleans floors and carpets very well. Have owned it for 3 months and regret buying it. Trying to clean cushions, anything that requires a brush with bristles is barely an option. The offer no decent tools with any sort of medium bristle. Trying to clean fabric chairs, cushions, felt, practically impossible. The hose tension once you remove the wand is horrible. It fights you every step of the way. I regret buying this. If you have needs to use attachments on this hose, you'll want to smash it to bits by the time your done. Absolutely hate it. Vacuums are meant to be used for more than a floor.

I bought this because I needed a vacuum with the option to turn off the beater bar and adjust the height for my wool area rug. I love on the hard flooring it doesn’t blow hairs away as it approaches. Sucks them right up. The regular carpeting in the bedroom got way cleaner than I was expecting after one use with this. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is due to the maneuverability. The suction against the floor (both carpet and hard) is so strong that it surprisingly difficult to push around.

This thing pulls more dirt than I knew existed, and it just about sucks the paint off the walls. It is, actually, so strong that it appears to be stretching my carpet and causing rolls and I believe has caught edges between the carpet and tile and caused some unraveling. Yes, my carpet is older and should like be replaced by it still looks great so I am not loving what's happening here. Also, it's really heavy and can be hard to maneuver to use the cleaning tools.

vacuums well, suction is great but a lot harder to manuver then expected, it take a good bit of muscle to vacuum a rug. the hose attachment is terrible it kinks while trying to use it, and it isan effort to pull the hose straight. Then a bit time consuming to but back together once you have used the wand and brush.

Bought this about 2-3 months ago. I have 2 Neapolitan Mastiffs and 2 cats. The amount of hair in my house is crazy. The first run with this vacuum made me question what the old one was doing for me. It’s light enough to move with ease and cleans up amazingly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum has a great suction BUT it’s so hard to move side to side and the hardwood setting is still too powerful for all my rugs (ruggables). It also gets really hot on the ball area. I am returning mine because i need something that will go from tile floors to rugs and this vacuum isn’t it. I also don’t like that it doesn’t have a pedal. It automatically unlocks or locks when I don’t want it to. It’s a bummer because I love how powerful it is but the cons outweigh the powerful suction.

I bought this model because it seems to declare the highest suction power. But it seems like when I use that flexible hose the suction power is much lower than when the main brush is used. Also, that flexible hose is super stiff, it is hard to used it without making the whole unit to constantly fall over. The main brush keeps falling off and is cumbersome to reattach, it leaves streaks on my wooden floor (mostly removable but very annoying), it seems to stop spinning / vacuuming randomly (I concluded it might depend on the bend angle). The entire unit is just very heavy: hard to maneuver and I worry the thin plastic stick might break at some point. The worst Dyson product I’ve ever owned.

I have had my second Dyson now for about 3-4 months. 1 thing that is great is the suction, other than that I could leave it! Too heavy, doesn't fit under anything, doesn't like to stay locked in upright position because the ball is too big, not easy to take apart and put back together, very awkward on stairs when using the attachment, I could go on but why.
