My (Shark Navigator) upright vacuum died on me after almost 7 years of use so I had to buy another vacuum right away. Tried several robot vacuums along the way but they just didn't clean as well as an upright for me. I have four long haired cats and they leave tuffs of hair all over the house and deeply imbedded fur in carpets that they love to sleep on. I looked at all of the upright vacuums that Sam's Club had. I saw the vacuum that I had but kept feeling drawn to this Dyson. My hesitation was on the price. When I looked it up online for their reviews, I discovered that it was on sale for $110 off . (There wasn't a sale sign up. I believe that they could sell more if they put the sign up.) Seeing this vacuum on sale made me very happy and I put it in my cart. I got it home and put it together using YouTube videos for help as the included directions were confusing and not very helpful. I plugged it in and went back over the rugs and floors that my other vacuum had done before dying. This picked up so much more! If you have pets, especially long haired ones, this is the vacuum to buy. It picks up so much more and my floors and carpets look so much cleaner. I comparison shopped this vacuum and Sam's Club has the best price on it, even without a sale. I highly recommend this Dyson Ball Animal 3+.

Great suction and not too heavy, but pulling the vacuum backwards is a bit hard due to the amount of suction! However I would prefer that over lower suction and lass of a cleaned carpets.!

Awesome for heavy shedding dog homes!

I have a Corgi and he sheds a LOT. We recently moved to a new place that has a lot more carpet. My area rug that I thought was pretty hair free turned a different color. This thing sucked the dust out of the carpet from the apartment downstairs. Another review mentioned that this was hard to push/pull. In that case, as the instruction manual states, adjust the red slider on the front by the brushroll all the way to the left. This made it significantly better. I got it on sale for $279 which I feel is a fair price. It's a great vacuum but I wouldn't buy this if it was the regular price of $389.

The machine is a little heavy

Bought this vacuum to replace my previous Dyson I had for about 15 years. This one has great suction ... possibly too much. Having a hard time pushing in on my area rugs.

The suction is very powerful and though heavy it moves easily on my LVP flooring. However, it has destroyed our plush rugs because the suction is too much for it.

We have always respected the Dyson brand and previously praised both its products and customer service, having owned several of their vacuums and other products over the years. However, our recent experience has been disappointing. We own 2 vacuums and followed all care instructions, yet the wand joint (a glued connection) came apart unexpectedly, and the hose has buildup that is extremely difficult to clean. We contacted customer service regarding a relatively small ~$20 part, but after weeks of back-and-forth emails, no practical resolution was offered other than repeated requests for inspection. Overall, the support process felt slow and unhelpful, and the issue remained unresolved. This experience has significantly changed our expectations of the brand’s reliability and after-sales support. We hope this helps other customers consider not only the product reputation, but also the long-term support experience before making a purchase.

Garbage. Does an ok job on hardwood but the vacuum is too high for rugs and carpet . Can’t push it across carpets ane the suction is so high it pulls the fibers out of the carpet
