Love this vacuum. I didn’t realize how much my old vacuum didn’t [pick up. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to really clean you carpets and floors.

I am hard on vacuum cleaners due to dogs and five parrots in my home. My last three vacuum cleaners (Hoover Pet and Shark Pet) did not last more than two and three years. I am hoping this vacuum will last much longer. The Dyson has already proved to be much better suction and overall performance on my hardwood, tile and rug covered floors. My review if five stars based on performance compared to the other brands I used. Time will tell if it outlasts the life of the others too.

We have had our old Dyson vacuum for over 8 years and decided to get a new one. We bought this one and honestly it’s great. I can tell it’s an upgrade from the older version. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because with some rugs it’s really hard to vacuum. Seems like the suction on it is really strong or something because it takes some muscle to vacuum. It’s only certain rugs and I’m hoping that over time it won’t be as difficult to vacuum with.

Difficult to push around and use. It was purchased to replace another Dyson ball vacuum cleaner which we have had for about 10 years. We moved it to the basement. We may have to replace the new one due to the difficulty of pushing it around.

I have a Dyson which is smaller and I gifted that to my daughter. I have had it for years and the quality was excellent. This one was on sale and even though it was bigger in size I thought it would work great for my needs but it was just too bulky and difficult to maneuver. I also put it on the highest pile setting and my carpet is not a high pile but it was so difficult to push so I chose to return it.

So I had this version of the Dyson vacuum nearly 8 years ago. This one is made so cheaply in comparison. It’s clunky to try and use the hose with attachments and the actual tube feels cheap and thin. It’s still the best for suction power but the materials and built are far inferior to the original model I had.

We had a Dyson ball vacuum for about 13 years ago and we loved it but it had a crack in the tubing as was getting old anyway so we bought this Dyson animal because the price was great. We feel it was a step down from the old one. It feels cheaper made/not as sturdy and there seems to be no control of the handle release mechanism when using the vacuum and when you’re done and try to put it back in the upright position.

Got my new Dyson had my old one for at least 20 years was excited about getting it finally got it. It does not come with all the attachments or the attachment holder that goes on the side called them. They said it was only supposed to come with 2 combo attachments and you have to buy those all separate when it clearly shows it on the box it came in and in the manual it showed it but the guy is making it right. We’ll see have to wait now for a few more possible weeks to get the rest of it. Very frustrating and yes, I would agree. It is made a lot cheaper than my old one.

My almost 20 year old dyson ball recently died. I purchased this thinking I'd get another nearly 20 years out of a Dyson product and I can now say, with certainty, this new one will likely less than 5 years. The good - nice long cord and the vacuum seems to be very powerful The bad - my god, the horrendous smell of plastic is overwhelming. I had to take breaks using it. It's bitterly cold or I would've set it outside and opened the windows to use it. The quality is abysmal. It feels like a toy made for a child and not a nearly $400 vacuum. The fact that you just yank it down instead of a floor button to release the handle should tell you all you need to know about the quality shortcuts. I'm trying to decide if I should even bother trying to return it now that I've used it. I'm beyond disappointed and shocked that this is rated so highly. Buyer beware, Dyson is not longer a company known for its quality.

Would not recommend this vacuum. I reached out to Dyson, I was surprised at the quality of this vacuum. I have short pile carpet and tile floors and after several passes-this vacuum would not pick up minor debris.
