Worst vacuum I've owned, despite being among the most expensive. Purchased this new and within weeks the on/off button stopped working. Sent it back to Dyson for warranty repair, which they confirmed was received by their warehouse on December 10th. It's now 2.5 months later and haven't heard a word. Reached out to Dyson customer service and they acknowleged having it in their possession but couldn't provide an ETA for repair. Absolutely insane. I will NEVER purchase another Dyson product again in my lifetime. I should have learned my lesson from past Dyson vacuums that all had their own issues. There are several other brands out there that perform significantly better than Dyson for a fraction of the cost.

My (Shark Navigator) upright vacuum died on me after almost 7 years of use so I had to buy another vacuum right away. Tried several robot vacuums along the way but they just didn't clean as well as an upright for me. I have four long haired cats and they leave tuffs of hair all over the house and deeply imbedded fur in carpets that they love to sleep on. I looked at all of the upright vacuums that Sam's Club had. I saw the vacuum that I had but kept feeling drawn to this Dyson. My hesitation was on the price. When I looked it up online for their reviews, I discovered that it was on sale for $110 off . (There wasn't a sale sign up. I believe that they could sell more if they put the sign up.) Seeing this vacuum on sale made me very happy and I put it in my cart. I got it home and put it together using YouTube videos for help as the included directions were confusing and not very helpful. I plugged it in and went back over the rugs and floors that my other vacuum had done before dying. This picked up so much more! If you have pets, especially long haired ones, this is the vacuum to buy. It picks up so much more and my floors and carpets look so much cleaner. I comparison shopped this vacuum and Sam's Club has the best price on it, even without a sale. I highly recommend this Dyson Ball Animal 3+.

The plastic parts are not very sturdy and have noticeable pinch points. The handheld vacuum sticks also need to be constantly plugged in and don’t consistently pick up debris, which is frustrating during use. I expected better performance from a handheld vacuum, but the internal rubber components seem to bend and wear out over time without you realizing it until damage has already occurred (see photo). Overall, I do not recommend this product based on durability and reliability concerns.

This is my 3rd Dyson, the first from Sam's Club. The materials/plastic parts are cheap, nothing at all like my previous Dyson. It did not come with the middle piece where you store the attachments. When I called I was told that peice doesn't come with it, but it can be purchased as an additional accessory. Odd since the picture shows it and my other 2 had it. I will be returning it since the quality is nothing like my previous Dyson and it can't be used to get the corners without the middle part.

Garbage. Does an ok job on hardwood but the vacuum is too high for rugs and carpet . Can't push it across carpets ane the suction is so high it pulls the fibers out of the carpet

If you want a vacuum that really picks up then this one is for you. It even cleans the edges next to the wall. The only drawback is that it is heavy and somewhat difficult to maneuver. That is the reason I did not give it 5 stars. If you can deal with a workout while vacuuming then you will love using this one. It does have a long cord which is a plus. It is worth the workout to get clean carpet.

This one of the better vacuum cleaners I have used. I liked that it has manual settings for the height of your carpets. I like that it has a long cord so I don’t have to keep unplugging and plugging back in. Another great feature is that it has two filters that are washable. It also does not have a bag and everything is contained in the canister, that is easy removal to empty. Then suction is great on floors and carpets. The suction was able to pick up the fine dog hair on the carpet. Another great feature it some with just the right amount of accessories that are easy to storage.

This is my 3rd Dyson upright and by far my favorite. The suction power is great and it does a wonderful job on carpets as well as hard floors. My only issue is the hose attachment. The pictures show a lady walking up/cleaning the stair with the hose--I call BS! Due to the power of the vacuum, the hose doesn't stretch out. When you are using it the vacuum follows you around and you have to fight the hose to get it to extend. It was the same with my last model as well.

Going from a canister vacuum to an upright and having almost a complete 360 swivel it takes a little bit of adjusting. There are different settings for carpet pile. It sucked a huge amount of hair out of my carpet runner and and rug. The transition to hard floors is very easy. The cord is very long so no need to keep unplugging and plugging into somewhere different. It’s easy to empty no bags.

The vacuum is very heavy and awkward. The hose feature is almost impossible to use unless you're only a foot away from where you want to vacuum. The photo on Sam's website shows a lady with the hose on stairs doesn't seem to have any issues keeping the hose from retracting which in my opinion is impossible. Both myself and my husband tried together and weren't able to successfully recreate the photo or more importantly vacuum our stairs.
