The Dyson on bare floors works excellently. However on short pile tight weave rugs the suction is too good. It is almost impossible to push the unit foward because the vacuum grabs the carpet like a Xenomorph face hugger. It could easily be fixed at the factory by adding a hole on both sides of the floor attachment with a slide to regulate the amount of suction to allow the unit to move. Drilling holes by the consumer would probably void the warranty, so it go back for a refund.

After 15 years, we bought a new Dyson. We had a DC41 that was hanging on, but had broken poeces not worth replacing. The new 3+ is amazing. It lifted so much dirt and dander from our one catpeted room that I was questioning my cleanliness levels. Attachments are useful and convenient. I like the smalled broom head as it can fit more places than the previous animal model.

This one of the better vacuum cleaners I have used. I liked that it has manual settings for the height of your carpets. I like that it has a long cord so I don’t have to keep unplugging and plugging back in. Another great feature is that it has two filters that are washable. It also does not have a bag and everything is contained in the canister, that is easy removal to empty. Then suction is great on floors and carpets. The suction was able to pick up the fine dog hair on the carpet. Another great feature it some with just the right amount of accessories that are easy to storage.

Don’t buy! The tool holder is not included. They (Dyson)ask you to purchase separately. When you complain about that (by calling) they say they will send it to you, but it’s out of stock and can’t tell you when it will be sent! Save yourself to trouble….

Just got it home an hour ago. Way too heavy for my wife to push. You have to disassemble the handle to use the attachments and it's a pain to take apart and put back together. I don't reccomend Dyson after this. It doesn't even come with a manual you have to download it online.

This picks up all of the dog hair and the spinner stays clear - so helpful to not have to clean it after every time I vacuum.

We've had Dyson vacuum cleaners for quite some time and they are great products! The head is a little more compact than what I had before, but it fits better into some of my smaller spaces. The suction is outstanding!

Worst vacuum ever, heaviest vacuum that I’ve ever used to push pull and pick up. Fell apart within weeks the only good thing that it did have good section better than that I don’t recommend it. I wanna go back to my shark.

The handle is not stable. It feels like it’s going to break the round cylinder next to the wheels as you push it forward and pull it back it squeaks it doesn’t feel like a solid vacuum. The plastic parts are not sturdy.

Great suction and not too heavy, but pulling the vacuum backwards is a bit hard due to the amount of suction! However I would prefer that over lower suction and lass of a cleaned carpets.!
