Good, but read the label

If cooked correctly is very tasty- didn’t realize that it was skin on until I got home, don’t usually get skin on filets. Also has some bones in some pieces.

Great Healthy Option!

This salmon is delicious. We like that it is not pre-seasoned. After my husband does the seasoning, we have a lower sodium, high quality salmon dish to enjoy!

Wild Caught Salmon is Great!

Great and tasty! Love the individual packs. This is WILD CAUGHT Salmon, not farm raised - suggest you read about farm raised if you haven't checked out the difference, specifically about the possible use of antibiotics in farmed fish feed. We'll always go with wild caught for our family. We defrost what we want to eat, put a little olive oil on each piece and season with "Butt Rub" seasoning - also buy it at Sam's - and air fry at 390 for about 10 minutes. Yum!

Salmon at its best

This salmon is a good buy for clean wild caught fish. Quick and easy defrost with each piece individually wrapped and ready on short notice. My family loves this salmon either baked or fried since its portioned and no cutting is necessary. A quick counter thaw and dinner is ready within an hour

Is it really salmon?

We eat sockeye salmon regularly. This is the first time I have purchased this brand from Sam’s. It is a very poor quality salmon. Hate to say but it seems to be what is left over after the salmon run. All the Sockeye salmon we have ate in the past has been a deep red meat and great flavor. This one was very pail, lighter than farm raised Atlantic salmon. A spongy texture that would crumble apart as it was being broiled. I will never buy this Salmon from Sam’s again. GROSS

Member's Mark Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon

Have been ordering this particular frozen salmon filets for at least three years and after researching, it is the second best deal, other than fresh salmon. However, fresh salmon costs considerable more money. I selected this particular salmon, because Perricone advocates that Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon is better than farmed salmon. A small filet of wild salmon is more nutrient dense than farmed, has 131 fewer calories and half the fat content as the same amount of farmed. Many studies have suggested that increasing the consumption of fatty fish such as salmon, decreases the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease. Dietary intake of salmon also supports healthful cholesterol levels. Salmon can be a possible alternative to protein sources such as chicken and beef. It provides ample protein, but far less saturated fat content, making salmon an ideal source for maintaining weight loss or a normal - range BMI. Although farmed salmon might have slightly more Omega - 3 fatty acids, it also has 20.5% more saturated fat content - and that's fat you do not want!! One possible reason for this additional fat is farmed fish aren't fighting against upstream currents like wild salmon. In addition, food testing reveals farmed salmon is one of the most toxic foods in the world - having more in common with junk foods than health foods. However, broiling, grilling or baking fish are healthy cooking methods that lower the amount of fat and PCBs that you consume. Bottom line, I believe examine the Pros and Cons and eat everything in moderation.

Quality everywhere but the fish !!

Quality everywhere but the fish !! Fillets where NOT frozen fresh. Either sat on boat in harbor or at packer. You could tell that decay was just around the corner when packed and frozen. Looked fine on the shelf in freezer of store. Had to trim 20-30% at home after thawing. Otherwise, quality cut and packaging.
