I like the PS5 Portal. Fortnite is playable but it dose struggle a little. I altrady knew that though. Now i can play my PS5 even when my wife is watching TV. Quality is excellent. The screen is clear and bright and battery life is just as i would expect.

Overall it is okay. I would not buy it now because it is only a beta version of cloud gaming (Playstation plus - Premium subscription required). There aren't many good games available to play since it's only beta version. It is not worth it to get this unless you have a Playstation console already. Premium subscription is not worth it due to not having many good games to play in the ps portal. It will tell you to connect with your Playstation console but if you turn on the beta cloud gaming via setting, it will not ask you to connect to your ps console.

Bought it as a Christmas gift for the boyfriend. Seems to love it. Heard very few complaints about it and only complaint was that his phone hotspot wasn’t strong enough to operate it while he was a few hours away but did use the stream function for games and it worked well.

The Portal’s overall build quality and presentation is great. Unboxing and setup is simple. Giving you the option to play without the tv tied up is a nice choice to have, if anyone else is watching something or playing another console on it. There can be some issues with connection depending on your network and it takes some technical knowledge to get it running 100% smoothly. But most games it runs flawlessly. Battery life isn’t terrible but it does seem to run low rather fast.

very nice product for us the green the controller I'm just all around build of the product that is very clean and nice and easy to use. but it is very misleading advertisement. all I've heard is you no need for a ps5 that you can now play all the games you want in the PlayStation as long as you have the PlayStation premium. but really all it a list of about 20 old old games. there's no other app you can get on. you can't use the internet. you can't even use YouTube. it's a very boring product. I got the Logitech G cloud after and I can tell you it's about a thousand times better.

Setting up the PS5 Portal was quite frustrating. Right from the start, I faced an issue with the system update. After a long time trying to figure out why the update wouldn’t proceed, I discovered that the date and time settings should be left alone for the update to work. This wasn’t intuitive at all, and it delayed the entire process. For a new device, I expected a much smoother setup experience. Even after I finally got the system updated, I encountered serious performance problems. Despite having a very fast internet connection, the gameplay wasn’t smooth. Every few seconds, there was a noticeable slow-motion crash that interrupted the flow, and it never went away. I tried switching between different Wi-Fi connections, but the issue persisted. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience for a premium device, especially considering the high expectations I had.

I had tried remote play on other devices with varying degrees of success so i wasnt sure what to expect. I bought this out of FOMO and im so glad I did. +Screen is a good size and colors pop. +Battery life is sufficient. +Easy to use. -The volume scaling is not great. The first nitch up from silent is too loud. Needs to be about half what it is. -No third party bluetooth head phone support. C'mon Sony. Make great headphones and people will buy them. You dont have to force people with gate keeping. All in all, I love this thing. Connectivity will vary but with the right set up its honestly real close to playing natively on my PS5. Ive seen this called the "Dad Station" and that describes what i love about it most. I can play and do other ghings at the same time.

We thought it was going to be like the Nintendo switch but it’s not. You have to be connected to WiFi and unless you have a ps5 you are very limited on games you can play. You also have to have a membership to play. It’s a nice concept if you want to constantly spend extra money. Not worth it in my opinion.

Was skeptical when making this purchase as there are many mixed reviews on this product. If you’re looking to purchase a portable gaming console, this is NOT the product for you as you are unable to install games directly on the unit. You can however utilize the game streaming option as long as you’re connected to a wifi with decent speeds which isn’t overloaded with users. PlayStation Plus Premium is required for streaming option. If you are looking for an option to play games already installed on your Playstation5, while connected to wifi then you are in luck. Locally connected to the same network but using in another room or outside (depending on range of your network) this device works flawlessly. I am playing with zero lag with my console approx 30-50ft on a lower level of our home. The video quality is fantastic and the controls work as expected with the same features of the PS5 controller. The unit is very comfortable while playing and you can feel the build quality as you hold it. My only complaint so far (unless I’m doing something wrong) if your PS5 is not in “Rest” mode, you cannot turn it on remotely as it is no longer connected to a network so you have to manually turn your PS5 on before it will allow a connection to the remote player. Overall the PS Portal exceeded my expectations as a remote player…I hope Sony releases a 2nd version that will allow you to install games directly onto it with a MICRO SD or an internal SSD…however, for the current price and its capabilities…Sony nailed it!
