I bought this as a birthday gift to myself %26 I must say that I have been pleasantly surprised by how smooth it’s been going. In house connected to the WiFi it’s marvelous no issues whatsoever %26 u don’t even need to turn on your tv which saves on electricity. If you’re someone on the go you will need a PlayStation Plus Premium membership for around $22/month %26 a nice amount of reliable Hotspot.

The kids love playing their PlayStation on this while they listen to music. It is similar to the switch but better graphics. The transition from the PlayStation on the monitor to this product was easy.

I was always skeptical of having to connect a PlayStation portal to my PlayStation at my home just to be able to have screen mirroring and control what’s happening on my PlayStation with the PlayStation portal. However, since Sony came out with the game, changing update a handful of months or so maybe a little longer back you no longer have to be in range of your PlayStation and Wi-Fi at home. You can play it your portable pretty much anywhere you could possibly imagine. As long as your game is downloaded on your PlayStation at home you can play the same game on the portal out in the world, not connected to any Internet at all unless you would like to hook your portal up to the hotspot on your phone if you have one but it is not required

I absolutely love my portal! I can finally see all the little things in the sims4 so I can fully decorate everything. So cool! Even my Xbox friends want one. Would make an awesome gift for a PlayStation player. It’s affordable and super easy to set up.

So i bought this without owning a ps5. prior to the amazing new update, you had to have the ps5 in order to use the portal. But it is amazing as a stand alone device. i paid for a year of sonys top tier playstation service and got a ton of games from old classics to recent ps5 titles all on a 7 inch screen displaying 1080p!!!! i know the price went up, but if you want a ps5 or older experience without the actual systems, this is the way to go. but remember you have to buy the service to stream all the titles. but if you own a ps5 you can stream your own games without charge!!!!!

My husband and I share this to each play games. I wish we could just have 2 accounts on it. Signing in and out all the time is a pain. There are some occasional delays with remote playing but dependi g on the game it is tolerable.

The PlayStation Portal worked pretty good overall, just wasn’t exactly what I expected at first. It’s not a standalone gaming system, so you do need a PS5 at home with good WiFi for it to really work right. When the internet is strong it actually plays pretty smooth and looks good. But if your internet isn’t great, it can get laggy and the frames drop sometimes. Still a cool device though if you already got solid internet and a PS5 setup.

Sony.......TF? PSP was such an amazing experience. then decide hey instead of improving the PSP, scrap the idea and give us the PS Portal. Though it plays well on a strong WI-FI streaming is all its good for no storage to download. Sure you cam pair your console however, one has to be literally right next to it. PS Portal is found most wanting %26 your people need to do better. Why y'all being lazy?

I sat directly next to my primary router/access point (deco xe75 pro) which is the same room as my PS5 and tried to stream MLB The Show; The latency was so terrible even with the "update." It's a beautiful pile of poop [I wanted to use other language but the Wal-Mart filter cried about it]. You can do an equally crappy job with your cellphone and a controller for free. Can only imagine this is a sign of things to come in an all digital Playstation future. Hopefully this review encourages you to no look pass on this thing.

Bigger headache within 24 hours. I brought it and attempted to play with this but you either need to have WiFi where you can make like a guest WiFi or personal hotspot only for the portal. I have internet but I guess since it was with my apartment the portal never wanted to connect but when I put it on my phone personal hotspot it would work. The only thing is it will lag or disconnect. But again having maybe better WiFi then I had or it’s on personal hotspot, setting it up is easy and it was easy it just didn’t like my WiFi lol but it’s very pretty sucks I returned it too much of a headache
