We got this so our daughter can play one device and another person can play another. It is really cool and interesting to handle. We like the mobile aspect. We dont take it far from the ps5, and it is still a little laggy. despite our high-speed internet, we still get some slow down on it. Im sure that's normal as it is a portable connecting to the system. We dont play any hardcore games on the portable anyway. All the ones are laid back so the lag doesn't matter too much. Overalll the graphics are really nice, and we enjoy the screen and handling. It's a little heavier than we thought, but if you keep it downwards, it's easier to hold. We appreciate this system add on and hope to get some good play time out of it!

The portal works wonderfully, especially with an ethernet connection! I have had no input delay from the remote play connection and it feels wonderful to play away from home and in bed! i highly recommend this! It feels so much better than playing from remote play on the phone!

I had tried remote play on other devices with varying degrees of success so i wasnt sure what to expect. I bought this out of FOMO and im so glad I did. +Screen is a good size and colors pop. +Battery life is sufficient. +Easy to use. -The volume scaling is not great. The first nitch up from silent is too loud. Needs to be about half what it is. -No third party bluetooth head phone support. C'mon Sony. Make great headphones and people will buy them. You dont have to force people with gate keeping. All in all, I love this thing. Connectivity will vary but with the right set up its honestly real close to playing natively on my PS5. Ive seen this called the "Dad Station" and that describes what i love about it most. I can play and do other ghings at the same time.

Most comfortable handheld I've owned. Battery life is a bit low but it's in-line with the standard PS5 controllers. Your upload speed that is connected to your PS5 is the most important thing to consider before purchase. If you have 15mbp/s UPLOAD it runs great. Most people will have plenty of download speed. While your PS5 is connected to the internet, run the internet speed test from your settings menu within the PS5 operating system. If you're at 15mbp/s you're good to go. This is a cheaper alternative to the Steamdeck. If you've already bought into the Sony ecosystem it's a great purchase. The screen is beautiful. No, it isn't OLED but honestly it's one of the nicest handheld screens I've seen. It's also 60hz but the majority of PS5 games barely hit 60fps anyway so it wouldn't really benefit from a higher frequency screen. Again, it's very comfortable. I actually prefer the ergonomics of the portal to my nintendo switch.

Looks nice, pairs easily. Not much different than an iPad and PS5 controller. Screen size nice. Nightmare to use the touchpad with certain games. If you want to use you must be on same WiFi and no one can stream media to the TV using your PS5, which defeats the point of it. You need a Roku/Apple Tv for media while using it. Definitely no competition for the Switch. Kids can’t even take it in the car. This basically turns your PS5 into a 4K Wii U. Save your money.

This PsP is Amazing! I am able to play my PlayStation anywhere! The controls are comfortable and feel like a normal PlayStation remote. Only downside is that it’s pretty heavy and you only get about 2.5 hours game play before recharge. If you don’t power it down after playing, it still stays connected and dies pretty quickly.

It’s a great idea for people who live with “TV Hogs” , kids and also a great way to play games for people who are on the go. The 1080p screen looks great bur could’ve been better with an OLED. The problem is the lag and no bluetooth connection. I personally like it but not love it. But with rumors of a new PSP it is probably better to wait. Then again if it was a pain to get this ps portal it’s probably gonna be worst when or if the PSP comes out. Unless walmart gets rid of these i@/%26$! ruining our gaming experience for a quick buck.

I love it if I didn’t have to go to my TV to change some settings once in a while I would never use my TV again, but the biggest thing is you have to make sure you have a decent Internet connection. I have a router and two satellites in different areas of my house so my Internet connection is great but I love this device. I was playing my PlayStation on the 70 inch TV and it was too big.

Works great if your TV is being used by someone and you wanna play your console that its plugged into. Also great if you are a Premium PS Plus Subscriber as the Portal allows you to play games without even being connected to remote play. I hear more features are coming in 2025 so it'll be me more like a standalone console. So Id say its worth the buy in the future. I use mine alot

I got the Portal despite my reservations that it would be a mediocre product because I had recently been in accident and was going to be on mandatory bedrest for two months and I wanted something to pass the time that wasn't just more reading (which I do love) or watching Netflix or browsing the internet. I just wanted to be able to play my games even though I felt it was overpriced and I was worried about performance. But.. I was pleasantly surprised. It works really well. I have an internet connection that when speed tested usually hits around 150-200mbps download and 75-150 mbps upload. It claims to only need 15mbps. Maybe that's true, but I'd doubt it. I have near flawless performance all the time though unless I start downloading something to the PS5. It's essentially unusable when you're downloading a game. So if you setup a download, you may as well turn it off for a while. It even runs fine when my SO or I are also watching Netflix or they're playing Valorant or we're playing PS5 games together online on the same connection. The device feels good, looks great and runs well. I'm actually really pleased with it and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to remote play their PS5 in the best, most comfortable way.
