Great Product! Sony did great with this one. The graphics, sound, controller response, imho are all excellent. It does take a little adjusting at first, but it is Just as immersive as playing directly on your console! My honest review: The Portal only works on your local network and your PS5 MUST BE ON THE SAME NETWORK. This isn’t a device that you can travel with and play remotely from another location. I got it because sometimes I want to play on the couch or in bed. It literally is your console at the palm of your hands. It does require a strong and a consistent WIFI connection. The screen is a nice size (think 9” screen about the size of an iPad mini). It is relatively big in size( Much bigger than the BackBone attachment to your phone). Sony’s is all one device. Which makes it a handful! I do wish that Sony would’ve made it the screen “tiltable”, so that I wouldn’t have to bend my neck downwards, during long play. Even though I wish the price point wasn’t up there, if you are a modernity serious gamer, and you don’t always want to sit in front of your console for hours, this is truly the device to get! I like it because I thought I can play my own games on it but then I realized that's not what it was for what I didn't like about it it's when my daughter told me I can just buy a controller and stream the game for my tablet so I did not need it and that's what I'm doing now

Very cool. Didn’t look too much into it before I got it. Didn’t know it’s touch screen. Works good for my sports game when casting from PS5. And works good on other games. Can’t wait for it to be finished, it’s still technically in Beta. But works good. Speakers do suck on it. Use headphones.

It's a wonderful addition to my ps. I can move around the house and continue my game regardless of what room I'm in. The beta streaming library works wonderfully and gets new titles added weekly. The only downside is it requires a very strong wifi signal for remote play. I still highly recommend getting one if you can. All the features of a standard ps5 controller with a fantastic screen.

I love my portal 😁 it's been a great investment. 10/10. Portability is awesome. The games play perfectly over stable wifi. I've played games like spider man and gta, and fortnite also nba 2k, just to name a few. I really dont have any complaints. Battery life is great for me. Ive played Spider-Man for hours. I'm not a super havey gamer. But I'd say even a heavy game, you could get 4 plus or so hours, if not more. But you'd just have to play around with it, to see how it holds up for you. For my I can get about 10 plus hours out of it and still have 15 percent. So i guess it just depends on what your playing and how much. I got a cool cover case for it and it feels good in the hand. I also got a screen protector for it too. So i think im good to go. The buttons feel great to and the screen is awesome. Hope this helps a little. pls have a good day.

Setting up the PS5 Portal was quite frustrating. Right from the start, I faced an issue with the system update. After a long time trying to figure out why the update wouldn’t proceed, I discovered that the date and time settings should be left alone for the update to work. This wasn’t intuitive at all, and it delayed the entire process. For a new device, I expected a much smoother setup experience. Even after I finally got the system updated, I encountered serious performance problems. Despite having a very fast internet connection, the gameplay wasn’t smooth. Every few seconds, there was a noticeable slow-motion crash that interrupted the flow, and it never went away. I tried switching between different Wi-Fi connections, but the issue persisted. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience for a premium device, especially considering the high expectations I had.

I like the PS5 Portal. Fortnite is playable but it dose struggle a little. I altrady knew that though. Now i can play my PS5 even when my wife is watching TV. Quality is excellent. The screen is clear and bright and battery life is just as i would expect.

I just got it to play games when someone else wants to use the TV. If you have good internet I definitely recommend it, I mostly play PS4 games on it and they look just as good as they did on PS4, haven't tried to play any PS5 games and I haven't tried the streaming Beta either but I'm sure they're great. Really convenient way to game when you can't use the tv

the wife can be watching her i wrecked my car, i like you, i hate you, i love you, kissy kissy, lets get married hallmark crap and i can play games. we were 25 miles away and i was using it. you need wifi, remote play on (on ps5), and ps5 in rest mode. for me it's well worth the money.

I had tried remote play on other devices with varying degrees of success so i wasnt sure what to expect. I bought this out of FOMO and im so glad I did. +Screen is a good size and colors pop. +Battery life is sufficient. +Easy to use. -The volume scaling is not great. The first nitch up from silent is too loud. Needs to be about half what it is. -No third party bluetooth head phone support. C'mon Sony. Make great headphones and people will buy them. You dont have to force people with gate keeping. All in all, I love this thing. Connectivity will vary but with the right set up its honestly real close to playing natively on my PS5. Ive seen this called the "Dad Station" and that describes what i love about it most. I can play and do other ghings at the same time.
