Looks nice, pairs easily. Not much different than an iPad and PS5 controller. Screen size nice. Nightmare to use the touchpad with certain games. If you want to use you must be on same WiFi and no one can stream media to the TV using your PS5, which defeats the point of it. You need a Roku/Apple Tv for media while using it. Definitely no competition for the Switch. Kids can’t even take it in the car. This basically turns your PS5 into a 4K Wii U. Save your money.

i like this thing connected to my system with no problems now i can play my game without taking up the tv and now that sony have done the update i dont have to connect to my ps5 to play games and for the price u cant beat what u is getting in my Opinion

I ultimately returned it because it made me motion sick and I just didn’t use it as much as I thought I would. Works best for turn-based games due to infrequent but still present latency. Even with great home internet and uninterrupted internet connection, a split-second delay can really derail some games (racing in GT, etc). A friend of mine has one and experiences the latency as well but only plays turn-based games on it so he loves his. To each their own.

I was bit skeptical of getting the PS Portal, but after getting one I’m having a lot of fun. If you don’t know to much about the Portal is a PS accessory, not a stand alone system. The Portal will let you play your PS games on the go as long as you are connected to a WiFi network, and YES!!! it does also work with your phone HotSpot. The Portal has a great ergonomic design just as good as the Dualsense controller. The 8 inch 1080P LCD display is very good with vibrant colors and great sharpness. Battery life is about 3 to 4 hours and to my surprise, the device speakers are quite good and clear. The weight of the Portal is well balanced so I have not experienced any type of fatigue by holding the Portal for more than an hour. Why is not 5 Stars? Well the Portal on let you stream your games. It does not include Bluetooth so if you want to experience true wireless sound you need to buy the PS Pulse earbuds that cost $199 ouch!!! You cannot watch your favorite streaming apps like Netflix or Disney but I guess this is due to copyright issues. But my biggest complaint is that you can not play the PS Cloud games. That being said, in overall the PS Portal is a great streaming device that will let you have fun even far away from home.

Wouldn't connect to my PS5 so had to return it and got another one and that one wasn't good. got it to connect but kept kicking off the wifi and would lag a lot. returned it less then an hour later. do not recommend. Idea is good but still has a lot of bugs to work out.

Really isn’t useful made it seem like you could play it without being directly next to your play station but the second you move more than a food away it disconnects. Hopefully here’s some updates that allow remote play without problems and without needing to have the ps on in the other room…

I love it if I didn’t have to go to my TV to change some settings once in a while I would never use my TV again, but the biggest thing is you have to make sure you have a decent Internet connection. I have a router and two satellites in different areas of my house so my Internet connection is great but I love this device. I was playing my PlayStation on the 70 inch TV and it was too big.

Great Product! Sony did great with this one. The graphics, sound, controller response, imho are all excellent. It does take a little adjusting at first, but it is Just as immersive as playing directly on your console! My honest review: The Portal only works on your local network and your PS5 MUST BE ON THE SAME NETWORK. This isn’t a device that you can travel with and play remotely from another location. I got it because sometimes I want to play on the couch or in bed. It literally is your console at the palm of your hands. It does require a strong and a consistent WIFI connection. The screen is a nice size (think 9” screen about the size of an iPad mini). It is relatively big in size( Much bigger than the BackBone attachment to your phone). Sony’s is all one device. Which makes it a handful! I do wish that Sony would’ve made it the screen “tiltable”, so that I wouldn’t have to bend my neck downwards, during long play. Even though I wish the price point wasn’t up there, if you are a modernity serious gamer, and you don’t always want to sit in front of your console for hours, this is truly the device to get! I like the PS5 Portal. Fortnite is playable but it dose struggle a little. I altrady knew that though. Now i can play my PS5 even when my wife is watching TV. Quality is excellent. The screen is clear and bright and battery life is just as i would expect.

I love it! I can now game whenever I want while the TV is in use. It's lightweight with a beautiful screen and incredible controls that are best in flight for a handheld(I know it's it's technically a remote player but the form factor is similar). Also, I love the added touch of cloud streaming. It works way better than you would expect as long as you have a stable connection.
