[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice refrigerator and plenty of room. Problem with the left door closing properly I will contact customer service. Because it doesn’t close properly it’s left open and I don’t realize it until the bell goes off.

I bought this refrigerator a month ago. I noticed a buzzing noise that grew louder within the first week. After a few weeks, the noise was fairly constant, and seemed way louder than it should for a new fridge. I called LG and the repair man came out. It was a metal wire rubbing on the compressor. He moved things around and the noise stopped. We’ve been happy with everything else.

After extensive research, I decided to purchase an LG French door refrigerator. It wasn’t love at first sight since instead of the doors closing solidly on their own I was always having to hear the alarm go off indicating that I had to go back and be sure the door was closed… never had to do that with any other refrigerator before. But the kicker is that after having the refrigerator for 2 years, the compressor went out. LG is supposed to be a solid appliance. All of my food (6 bags ) had to be tossed. Even though it was still under warranty, I don’t trust it. I don’t stock up on food anymore(more expensive trips to the grocery store) and I purchased a mini fridge to keep in the kitchen just in case it goes out again which I’m thinking is a strong possibility since replacing a major component in a 2 year old refrigerator isn’t a good sign of longevity. Needless to say, my faith in LG products has been greatly reduced.

I've had this refrigerator for almost 5 years. In that time, I have had to have LG come out twice. First because the wires weren't insulated properly and it became so loud you couldn't hear the TV in the next room. 3 years later it got really loud and then it died completely and I lost all the food in the freezer. LG replaced the compressor and the loud wires for a second time. I wish I could say it works as well as it looks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the refrigerator with French doors and a bottom freezer about a month ago. My wife and I love this refrigerator. It has a great indoor lighting system, fantastic extra space for items on the doors, and a large freezer area that opens up a second area for ice cubes and extra storage on a second level, as one opens the door farther. The refrigerator has a great seal set up as one closes the doors to keep the cold in. Items stay fresher longer with the ventilation of air inside when the doors are closed that keeps items fresher longer. It has an alarm on the refrigerator that makes a soft gentle sound if you forget to close the French doors properly.

We originally bought another refrig with a top freezer which leaked when we switched the doors. Due to availability and size we were very limited and decided to try this bottom freezer. We had heard of the difficulties with getting LG parts and were skeptical. So far we are enjoying our purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this refrigerator as I thought my old one was at the end of its life, and I was not expecting much as it was the only refrigerator of this size that fit my space. Oh, my Goodness was this the best "accident" that could have happened to my Christmas! It holds twice as much as my first fridge had (from another brand) and has even more space-saving features, the water holder is narrow, making more space for the used space, and the shelves are half wide so that I can adjust them unevenly to accomodate for large bottles and short things such as jars and meal containers. The only complaint someone could have is that you can get a glass of icy water from the door, the second glass filled won't be as cool as the first, but I don't like drinking cold water, so I am happy throughout!

So we bought this one and it is much better than I thought it would be.

It fit in our old house perfectly in the space where our previous refrigerator sat. It has very good capacity for our needs and looks quite nice. We were fortunate to get this refrigerator quickly and at a really good price.
