Love the maker not the pot.
Got this for xmas. The maker itself is very well engineered. The only complaint I can nit pick on would be that it spits and makes a little mess when using kpods. BUT, if you get this DO NOT get the model with the metal pot. It is both useless as a container to keep things hot and DANGEROUS at the same time. The pot is horribly insulated and wont keep coffee drinkable temp for more than about 2 hrs. At the 2 hr mark coffee is cool enough to pour on your hand. The metal pot model does not come with a warmer. You can get almost 4 hrs of warmth if you pre-heat the pot with hot water inside and out letting it hold hot water for a minute or two and then empty, fill and repeat twice. This wastes a ton of water but gets you hot coffee for longer. I REALLY wish they got me the glass pot model with the warmer. I honestly curse this thing every morning. But even worse the metal pot is DANGEROUS. Not sure if it gets some kind of vapor lock when the pot is fresh and hot but your first pour the coffee sometimes barely comes out and then all of a sudden comes pouring out very fast. if you are not careful this WILL BURN YOU. So just be careful folks, the metal pot is not good.

BEWARE no hot/warm temp feature.
The 3 stars is a stretch and really should only be 2 stars. I have always been a loyal Ninja & Shark customer. I currently own the flip up toaster oven/air fryer, Nutri Blender Plus, ice cream maker, Foodi Possible Cooker Pro and 2 Shark vacuums. Yesterday I bought my 3rd Ninja Coffee. I only replaced my first coffee maker because I had it for at least 10 years and the coffee didn't seem to be as hot but hey I get it and nothing last for a lifetime. My second one (CM401) which I've had for 3 plus years and loved. I only purchased yesterday the Ninja CFP301 DualBrew Pro Specialty 12-Cup Coffee Maker because of features. Mainly the ability to also use Pods and the separate hot water feature. Well I am not happy as they took away a feature that IMO was valuable. Now you cannot set the warming plate to High or Low as my previous models. The coffee is lukewarm at best. Yes I know they say to warm your cup before pouring the coffee but I use a Yeti insulated mug and that should not need to be done in order to have a good hot cup of coffee. I drink my coffee black so I'm not adding any liquid to it. I call CS and confirmed that hot/low feature was not available on the model I purchased. Why would they take away features that people enjoy as everyone doesn't like a lukewarm cup of coffee. Another thing why would they take this away this feature for the coffee making part when the hot water feature you have that option High which is 199 degrees or low which is 165 degrees. It makes no sense. So today I will be searching for a different brand of coffee maker that has the features that I want and return the one I bought yesterday. BTW I've already gave my CM401 model away to a friend that is moving into her first apartment so I will not ask for it back. I guess bottom line it is my fault for not making sure the hot/low temp feature was not available. This has certainly put a bad taste in my mouth for Ninja products and I will steer away from buying any again. So if you like your coffee hot BEWARE and do not purchase this model.

Love Ninja
This is not my first ninja product! I have become a huge fan of ninja brand. they have excellent customer service. this coffee pot went beyond my expectations. tons of really cool features and it looks sleek in my home. I love the added bonus of the frother on the side ( this coffee maker bruise a cup of coffee in about 90 seconds. It is delicious and hot and absolutely perfect. It does take a little bit to learn all of the buttons because it does a lot of different things.
Well done Ninja - but clean it!
I personally love this coffee maker. I love the ability to switch between pods and beans that I can grind myself. My wife likes the pods and I like the beans. I also like that the drip-brew utilizes the water pump like the pods and doesn't require overheating of the water like old machines do, I think that makes a much better drip coffee. I had one unit fail to pump, I've also had the same thing for Keurigs. People who are having issues need to clean their machines more regularly, that's been my solution. Hard water is hard on them.
I'm In Love
Picked this up during Prime Day deals after eyeing it for the past few months. I worked at a clinic that had a different Ninja coffee maker and I was blown away how good the coffee tasted. Picked it up from the post office today and I'm amazed at how good my coffee tastes. It's quick and efficient and I'll never go back to Keurig I've had two just stop working after taking great care of them and doing all of the maintenance etc. Only downside this unit is super tall, no way to use it under your cabinets I'll be on the hunt for a sliding tray to set this on, I also wished Ninja offered a charcoal filter option for their Ninja machines my water is pretty bad here and even though I filter it another filter would be nice.
Love-Hate Relationship
I am on my second ninja dualbrew pro specialty coffee system. Love: Water fills from sink and has a great way to grip it Love ability to do carafe/cup/travel mug with ease Love separate water function for tea etc. Love how you can switch between different roasts, sizes, etc. with ease Love you can use any brand of coffee pods HATE: Hate that both coffee systems have grounds spilling into the carafe and the cups/mugs. Hate that the grounds in my coffee are found intermittently - but seems always to be present when I am having a party! Hate that I have tried different strengths, coffee ground sizes, etc. to no avail Hate my first system was replaced by the company, thank you; but the second one continues to have the exact same problem.
Great for my family
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So my husband and I are completely different when it comes to coffee. He will go thru a pot a day of the strongest coffee you can make I on the other hand maybe a cup every couple of days of cream and sugar with a little bit of coffee. This is perfect for us. Before we got this system we had a Congleton brew machine and it was so expensive because my husband would go thru so many of the cups for that machine but now he can make his pot and I can just use the single serve function when I want one. It was easy to use and brews quite fast especially his full pot or atleast I think it's pretty fast.
Mostly Great, Highly recommend
We have had our coffee maker for about 3 months now and absolutely love it. We don't do a lot of K-cups, but every now and then it's great to be able to make a quick one cup of coffee. The lattee frother works better than expected. We usually microwave almond milk for about 1 minute. Then froth it. Then brew the coffee. It's quite good. The only down side we have with this entire setup is the thermal carafe. Coffee and water can get inside the plastic outside ring that goes around the top. The coffee then dries in there. The next time coffee or water gets in there, it rehydrates the old coffee which can spill out into your fresh cup of coffee contaminating it.
Love the intuitive features.
Pros: it automatically switches between pods or carafe based on whether you out in the adapter or not, which is super convenient. However, I was disappointed to realize it didn't come with the reusable filter like my first coffee bar did in 2016, and unfortunately that old reusable filter basket of course doesn't quite fit the new unit. And the fact that the reusable k-cup pods sold at a local big box Supercenter won't work with this either- is annoying. I don't want to be without coffee should I run out of filters or k-cups 9'e day because my life is chaotic because of kids, a deployed spouse, ect. That gripe aside, I like the dedicated hot water line, it'll make my kids happy that they can be more independent when they want to make some cocoa or oatmeal or some other things , especially when I'm not a fan of them using our gas stovetop. This thing brewed a 10 oz cup SO fast and quietly from a k-cup, I was impressed. And having a 60 oz carafe? Fantastic in a house that treats coffee like the nectar of the gods! Mostly well done, Ninja. 😄
Great features
I bought this a month ago. Makes the finest coffee i have had from a home coffee maker. My wife loves that she can grab a cup of hot tea from the separate water system. If the tank gets low it will pause and tell you to add water then finish the cycle.
