On my last grocery shopping excursion to my local Walmart I saw this product/brand name for the very first time. It was noticeably less expensive than the big-name brand (the one Frodo might climb that big hill to buy). Trying any new-to-me product for the first time, I had my apprehensions of being concerned with quality and taste. I was SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! Far more smokey flavor and savory taste, and it DOES NOT have that slightly chemical/preservative taste I find in Frodo's "big-name" brand.

Online order of 3 lbs pkg meat with best buy date out only 2 days. I buy Ekrich faithfully and thought a larger pkg would save me money. Not with a Best/freeze date of only 2 days. 80% will be a loss with no freezer room. So, I suggest not to order online for product.

The smoked (="fully cooked") is unflavorful. I'm looking for the full taste of Polish sausage, like Costco used to sell heated and in hot dog buns at their snack shop. Nothing smoked compares. For full taste, it needs to be sold frozen if necessary, but uncooked, and certainly made from piggies, not plants.

We buy this occasionally and have for years. Have eaten it plain right from the package, or sliced down the middle and warmed in a frying pan on some toast, even in noodles after being fried. Any way it just tastes good and very versatile. Nice sized package. Easy to freeze and thaw. Makes a great snack when needing some protein. Makes for a great lunch or dinner. Can be a bit greasy but all of the sausages like this are.

Eckrich Smoked Sausage has always been my go to to add sausage to various meals, FOR YEARS! Something is off with taste! Im a foodie and after the first bundle I purchased had a weird taste to it I purchased another....same difference. Im not sure if the taste changed or the HEB and WalMart I visited BOTH had bad sausage, maybe the ingredients changed im not sure, but ill say goodbye to Eckrich, yall just be careful and trust your taste.

The smoked sausage melts in your mouth with savory flavors that makes you smile rather you prepare it for a dinner in many different fashions from dinner meals to serving it at a grilling party by its self you can’t go wrong it fabulous delicious and magnificent for you I love it

I try not to run out of this sausage. The smokey flavor is great & so is the value. I make sure I have an extra in my other freezer at all times.
