I don't know what kind of casing is now used for this sausage, but the casing doesn't break down when you chew it. So, you have to spit it out. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the flavor is good. I will not be buying this again. Please do better, Eckrich!

Walmart app shows this items price to be $6.96. Shelf tag shows price of $8.84. I scanned the item with the app scanner. Price came up at $6.96. So I bought. Got home, I was charged $8.84. App shows skinless at $8.84. I didn’t buy the skinless, I bought the natural casings advertised on app for $6.96. How can their app advertise a price and item scan for the advertised price through the app but the register scanner get something different. Walmart what’s up?

I have bought this for years. This is the first time I can ever remember it tasting bad. It was almost as if there was chemicals mixed into the sausage. Hard to explain, but it was just so, bad. It is almost like somebody at the factory cleaned equipment, but didnt rinse it out, then hit start. Extremely hesitant to buy it again. Lot number is 318962.
