Overall Impressions and Pros This model is stunning - the matte black steel and glass display will make this microwave really stand out (in a good way) in any kitchen. From an appliance standpoint, the microwave does everything a microwave normally does such as heat food up at an impressive 1,000 watts, defrosting, and sensor cooking, which allows the microwave to heat up your food to the optimal temperature based on its smart sensors. This model offers a spacious 2.1 cu. ft of capacity so you can load it up with your biggest dishes. In addition to the standard features, this microwave has WiFi! You may be wondering why you need WiFi on a microwave. This microwave connects to the Samsung SmartThings app and allows you to do things like create custom food cooking programs and sync with your Samsung stove/range to turn the ventilation fan on and off when you use your stove - pretty cool! My favorite thing about having WiFi is the clock sets itself - no more staring at a blinking “12:00” and having to figure out how to set the time. SmartThings App and Features Linking this microwave to the Samsung SmartThings app unlocks additional features. In addition to doing basic things like setting the time and sending cook settings, you can view how much energy your microwave is using with the SmartThings Energy feature. The SmartThings app also provides you with a virtual cookbook, filled with easy-to-follow recipes that are tailored to your appliance. I love that I can find a recipe, follow it step by step, and “send” any cooking details directly to my microwave - it can’t get any easier! These features are even cooler when you have other SmartThings appliances such as a smart Samsung fridge or Samsung range/stove since they can all work together. Cons The only con that comes to mind is the “fingerprint-resistant” finish isn’t entirely resistant to fingerprints, but cleaning the exterior is a breeze with a soft cloth and some water to keep the matte black and glass front looking sharp. Conclusion If you're looking for a microwave that’s loaded with smart and practical features, this is the one to get!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very professional and clean microwave. Has a very nice bright white LED light on the bottom to light up your stove top on a cloud day. The inside is the classic blue color that matches the new Samsung wall ovens, which is a major change from the standard white interior most of us are used to from a microwave. The all glass front makes your kitchen look more custom and get lots of questions from your friends and family. The built-in Wi-Fi allows for clock synchronization so no more having to reset the clock when the power glitches. Just an overall solid microwave. So far, the food has been cooking great, not over cooked, not under cooked. Inside the door, there is a nice cheat sheet that explains how long to cook certain types of foods for the perfect temperature and taste. And the Samsung Mobile App, well, it messages you when the food has been cooked completely which is a great feature when you're busy and running around the house. Well done Samsung.

I find the buttons to be a little hard to select some times. It seems to prefer lighter touches more than a solid push. I find that some of the sensor features do require more time such as the baked potato option. I do like how easy it is to operate and how nice it looks in my kitchen. I do like the SmartThings app as I have all my Samsung appliances on it and can easily monitor them and operate them. It updates the time and features with ease. The capacity of this microwave is very large and holds everything I would want to heat up.

Initially, we noticed some heating inconsistencies—items weren’t warming up in the usual amount of time. Fortunately, that issue seemed to resolve on its own after a while. More recently, we’ve run into a new problem: the digital display has started acting up. It flashes randomly, starts and stops on its own, and seems to have a mind of its own. I’ve uploaded a video to show what’s happening. Overall, we’re somewhat satisfied with the microwave’s performance when it works properly, but it’s disappointing to be facing issues like this so soon. I’d really prefer not to go through the hassle of a replacement or repair this early on, but it’s likely going to be necessary. Cheers.

It has some fancy features including automatic vent fan activation when the range is being used, but unfortunately this only works with new Samsung ranges that have the SmartThings app capability. I enjoy the connectivity bonus that keeps the time of day correct without having my input. I love the clean look of the front glass face but it does make the size of the door a bit more cumbersome. The dark glass door has a smaller window, making it very difficult to view your meal as it is cooking (standing on a stool or being over 6' should help though). The inside light appears to be the old-style yellow, incandescent bulb which doesn't light up the inside well. The super large cooking capacity is very nice and the baked enamel coated surface makes cleaning a breeze. I also like the LED light for the range top. The cooking time also takes 20% longer with this microwave compared with my last Samsung (even though they were both the same wattage). In summary, this seems to be a nice, big microwave with limited updated features but still falls short in some areas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous microwave was over 12 years old so it was time to get a new one. Wow, this microwave was a huge upgrade! First off, it's huge inside! It takes up the same space as my previous microwave, but there is so much more space inside. On the outside, the first thing you see is that the clock and all the buttons are along the bottom edge, and not along the side or on the top. This makes it easy for shorter people to run the microwave. The buttons are all very self explanatory and easy to find what you're looking for. There are different recipes and times to use inside the door when you open it, so you can see a quick reference guide anytime you need it. The best part? You know how ALL microwaves and a popcorn button and it NEVER works? It either pops half the bag or more often, burns the popcorn. Not this one! I was skeptical at first, so I tried it multiple times with the same results every time. The popcorn came out perfectly! All popped and never burned! Somehow it senses the steam coming out of the bag and knows when to stop. The clock syncs to your phone/app so you never have to worry about changing it when the power goes out or for daylight savings time. The lights under that shine on the stove are very bright and really helps when you're cooking on the stove. Don't wait 12 years like I did to upgrade your microwave!

It is also smart, so I have paired it with my samsung smart stove and run routines based on the state the stove is in. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase.

The fan is much more powerfull than our old GE model, and the light is bright as well. The only thing that would be nice is to have an instant one-button 30s start (you instead have to press +30s then Start). But overall a great (and great-looking) product.
