I have had this microwave for less than year. It has quit working three times. I'm going on 3 weeks this time without a working microwave because of an SE error. The part has not been shipped from Samsung. Samsung warranty service is horrific. There is zero communications. I took a day off of work for an appointment. No one showed up, so I called and they had made a different appointment. This happened twice. I bought two Samsung stoves and refrigerators 18 months ago and. I wish I could return them. Don't buy SAMSUNG appliances. I own rental properties and never have an issue with parts and repairs on other major brands, such as Whirlpool and GE.

From a design perspective, the microwave is very good-looking - it even made our kitchen look a bit older compared to the clean lines and deep dark colors. The microwave does what all microwaves do - it heats up very quickly and has a lot of interior space for big dishes. This model doesn’t come with a built-in rack, but we never used that in our old microwave so no loss there. The microwave connects through WiFi to the Smarthings app and lets you control pretty much everything on it right from your phone - how cool! We also have a smart Samsung stove so the two “talk” to each other and it turns the fans and lights on and off automatically. I also found that the sensor cook feature worked very well - usually, microwaves don’t really get this feature right, but so far it hasn’t over or undercooked any of my meals. Overall this microwave is definitely from the “future” and you can’t go wrong with it!

You can link it to your phone through WiFi and get alerts when your food is ready, turn the light on and off and even operate the fan. It took the place of an older dinosaur, so it is a much needed improvement! Looks great and matches my kitchen well.

If you enjoy seeing the time of day on your microwave this microwave is not for you. The day and time disappear after a few minutes. The maximum display time is 15 minutes. An option for always on should have been designed into the unit. It's also impossible to know where to touch to light up the face so you end up with finger prints all over the glass. So, a small lit line or dot would have made things much easier.

From an appliance standpoint, the microwave does everything a microwave normally does such as heat food up at an impressive 1,000 watts, defrosting, and sensor cooking, which allows the microwave to heat up your food to the optimal temperature based on its smart sensors. This model offers a spacious 2.1 cu. ft of capacity so you can load it up with your biggest dishes. In addition to the standard features, this microwave has WiFi! You may be wondering why you need WiFi on a microwave. This microwave connects to the Samsung SmartThings app and allows you to do things like create custom food cooking programs and sync with your Samsung stove/range to turn the ventilation fan on and off when you use your stove - pretty cool! My favorite thing about having WiFi is the clock sets itself - no more staring at a blinking “12:00” and having to figure out how to set the time. SmartThings App and Features Linking this microwave to the Samsung SmartThings app unlocks additional features. In addition to doing basic things like setting the time and sending cook settings, you can view how much energy your microwave is using with the SmartThings Energy feature. The SmartThings app also provides you with a virtual cookbook, filled with easy-to-follow recipes that are tailored to your appliance. I love that I can find a recipe, follow it step by step, and “send” any cooking details directly to my microwave - it can’t get any easier! These features are even cooler when you have other SmartThings appliances such as a smart Samsung fridge or Samsung range/stove since they can all work together. Cons The only con that comes to mind is the “fingerprint-resistant” finish isn’t entirely resistant to fingerprints, but cleaning the exterior is a breeze with a soft cloth and some water to keep the matte black and glass front looking sharp. Conclusion If you're looking for a microwave that’s loaded with smart and practical features, this is the one to get!

Bought this item at my Local Best Buy. Had it delivered and installed via Best Buy. Not even a month old and it broke. Tech came out and and replaced several parts. Another month goes by and it broke again. I called Samsung for service. The sent out someone from NISI USA. The Tech never showed. I called and asked what was up and told he is running late due to poor time management. Then the tech starts blowing up my phone how he is 45 min away. Then a few min later he is 30 min, then 20 min. I don't even want to know how fast this guy was driving. I call back and asked for Saturday service and was told we don't do weekend. But they say they work in the customers time availability. They Don't!!!!!! I called back and was told that I was scheduled Monday 8am to 8pm and that a manager will contact me by 5pm. I never got a confirmation for the appointment. I called Monday morning and was told that I was not scheduled. I asked for a supervisor or a manager and was hung up on 3 times. I called a 5th time and got a manager. The manager told me that he was not even in the office to get the message that I called Friday or he needed to call me. He was going to see what he could do to get me a tech out on Monday. I told him because of the person who I spoke to several times on Friday I had to call off work on Monday. I asked to compensation for my lost time at work. He said that was not his issue it was a Samsung issue because his employees are always on time and they don't book all day slots. I called Samsung and told them what NISI said. I was told that they dont control NISI and if NISI caused an issue its up to them to make it right. They same tech from Friday started to blow up my phone again that he is on his way. Upon his arrival he said that he was over booked for Friday. He also said that he talked to his manager on Friday (same one who said it wasn't in the office Friday). I was then told that the tech who was out in January didn't repair the unit correctly. It took him about 90min to repair the microwave. I continued to try and contact NISI corporate. They don't take phone calls, Emails only. I was told by Stephine in corporate that they don't control each operation they have. Its up to that site manager to handle all issues. I told her what happened and what the tech told me. I was then told I was lying, the tech was lying, and that the parts were defective and the 1st tech did the work correct. I was a whole bunch of CYA with a side of we don't care. NISI and Samsung both washed there hands of the issue and I lost out on $200 of pay.
