You can map your house and have it block off areas that you prefer it doent go! It self empties into the stand. It was so easy to set up. I have 3 pets and it does well with the hair! I highly recommend it!

It automatically gets cleaned out into a holding tank, then once a month or less depending on how much dirt it needs to pick up you will then empty that. It wa easy to set up and connect to my wifi too.

Ive had it for a month now and it works great! I do only use it in a finished basement with vinyl plank flooring and an area rug. Gets up a lot including cat hair that I dont necessarily see. Negatives - loud, tried to suck up dehumidifier cord. Plus - can choose rooms to clean, easily navigates from vinyl floor to area rug, turn it on and forget it, great for everyday "keeping up" type cleaning and the base works great for charging and emptying it.

I also can control it with my google assistant. It memorizes the rooms in my home and cleans them beautifully. I can also control this self emptying vacuum using my cell phone when I'm not home! This vacuum cleans beautifully and it makes vacuuming my home so easy and hands free.

We have a 1500 sq foot 1st floor and previous robot vacuums always seemed to get stuck somewhere or miss parts of the house. The mapping system on this robot resolves both issues. I love that you can mark areas of the house as off limits without the need for ugly magnets strips that my kids are forever moving. Fair warning that when the vacuum returns to the base to empty, it is very loud. By default it will return to its base to charge and then resume sweeping later if it didn't get through the whole house. We set it up to run in the evening and it would restart in the middle of the night and wake everyone up. It took me a few days to figure out the issue, but it was easy enough to turn that feature off once I looked in the manual! Overall, I would highly recommend!

It not only has 3 different suction levels while vacuuming, it self empties into the base which saves time and the reservoir is pretty large. This Shark vacuum maps your house and uses an app, which is very user friendly. Highly recommend for people with pets, as it pulls pet hair from rugs with ease.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have set up the Matrix to run in our basement. Initial set-up was tricky. I already have the SharkClean app for another vacuum and so I thought it would be just to add the Matrix. Well, I don't know if it just me (I have an Android phone and poor internet in rural MN), but I finally figured out that I needed to have location on my phone to then be able to connect the vacuum. The instructions did not tell me to do this so I had many failed attempts before this and was ready to call customer support before I figured this out. Then the vacuum was able to map the rooms. I love how this vacuum saves me time by taking care of some of the extra cleaning needed in half of our home. It seems to have powerful suction and does a good job taking care of all the areas it can go to.
