Previously this was my go to for a quick and easy dinner with left overs. This past time, purchased 09/13/2026 they changed something, the cheese was weird tasting and there was not enough tomato sauce as well as very little mozzarella on top. It's a shame that Sam's decided to cut corners. Tried it and ended up throwing it all out, complete waste of money.

After hearing how good this dish is, and reading some of the good reviews, I decided to try it myself. I was very disappointed, because I do not agree with any of the good reviews. I found it to be very bland. Before serving it to my family, I had to do a lot of “doctoring” to this dish.

These are not 100% ricotta filled manicotti. They are filled with a thick béchamel sauce with a couple of tablespoons of ricotta added. The sauce is acidic and the mozzarella melted on top was the cheapest I've ever eaten. I will not ever buy again...wasted $10. And...makes me skeptical about buying any other of your prepared food. You have made an extremely poor first impression...and I actually thought no one could screw up simple manicotti. My family came here from Italy, so, I know good food from a cheap rip-off. My advice....skip it, unless you don't know the difference.

They changed the recipe! We used to love this, but the cheese filling is different. It's terrible. Nobody in my family of five could even finish their dinner, and my husband will eat just about anything, so that's saying something. The filling doesn't taste like ricotta anymore. It's gooey and gross. I am so disappointed.

The manicotti from Sam's has been a family favorite for years, until it changed to this new recipe. What was an easy dinner that never had any complaints from even the pickiest of 7 year olds, turned into the most disappointing meal we have had in awhile. Please change it back!!

Packaging was great and the food looked great. The meal was delicious.

Kind of watery once baked and needs more cheese. We added about a cup of Italian blend cheese on top and it worked.

This was HORRIBLE! If I could give a 1 star I would. Normally manicotti filling kind of dense and semi firm. This was liquid. Had to get a spoon to get it out of the pan because with a spatula it would run over the edge and spill on the table before you could get it on a plate. The taste??? It tastes cheesy, but has an underlying fish flavor, and not a good fish flavor. Finally, the salt! I was thirsty all night after eating only two manicotti. Other reviews mention 970 mg of sodium per manicotti. That means that with 2 pieces I had 84% of my daily sodium intake. They put the nutritional label on the bottom. Had I known this I wouldn't have purchased it. 2/3'rds of this went straight to the trash, I we are very conscious about throwing out food. Most of the 1 star reviews were after June of 2026 when they apparently changed the recipe. Stay away from this!
