Nice laptop. This 11 gen i5 really performs. Boots up fast, usually less than 30 seconds. The new and improved fingerprint reader works well, unlike some past attempts by HP in this area. I would have liked to have seen a 512 G NVMe hard drive instead of the 256G that comes with this one, but, other than that, there isn't anything else this laptop needs. Not only do I recommend, I have actually already done so and a neighbor just took delivery on one of these.

Took 10 days to get here, was packed in original HP box, then in a Sam's box with large bubble wrap only on 1 side of HP box. Luckily no damage. After opening and setting up Windows 10 updates and after deleting all the junk HP adds and not needed, I brought over my key files from my old HP (about to dye) laptop. It is lightening fast. Very happy with it and the special price deal I was able to get in on. Recommend it to anyone needing an up to date unit. Has more features than I needed.

Based on my need for this laptop, after careful research. This laptop fits and is just what I were looking for. The speed is fast, it’s unused . I actually needed more memory and a dvd rw drive. 2 items that has to be purchased separately as external parts. It’s preloaded with apps. The pictures are crystal clear w/ light up keyboard. Buttons are spaced for easy typing. Fast setup. Priced fairly reasonable. I love my laptop ❤️

I can't believe I found this HP LAPTOP at a really great deal. Backlit keyboard was one feature that I noticed other laptops tax heavily. I am pleased this was included as part of the product. The screen quality and picture quality are crisp and clear. The computer is not slow at all. It boots up fast and I have been able to tailor it to what I want to load up immediately. The sound is super decent! It's a thin, sleek laptop which I formally found great comfort in HP's older, heavier laptops but they sure have surprised me a change of heart. I do love it. However, there is one set of cons and that involves Microsoft setup. It could be me but these folks are way nosy and require too much information and product bombs. No matter how I try to create my perfect browser and settings, Microsoft manages to reroute, change, or make suggestions as if I don't know what I want as a consumer. GEEEEEZZZZ! Other than this, this laptop is on point. It definitely does not break the bank.

After searching for a reliable computer for some time, I finally stumbled upon this hidden gem. It is a great laptop with all of the features I was looking for. The computer screen is a reasonable size and the entire computer is lighter than I imagined. It's just the right size to take on the go! The only downside is the webcam quality which seems a little hazy, but overall this is an excellent computer for your everyday business/school needs.

I just purchased this laptop directly from Samsclub, on Feb 5,2023. It arrived Feb 11, 2023. HP setup tool shows the warranty expired for this serial number on Oct 31, 2022. What a disappointment. Laptop works ok for now, but I expected better from Samsclub. Evidently selling returns as new.

This is a good computer for regular use. What was not so good is that Sam's Club advertised this as having a backlit keyboard. After messing around with it, and finally contacting HP support, we found out it did not have it. That was one of the reasons that I bought it in the first place. Other than that, it is a good computer, and we will live with it.

The HP 15.6" Full HD Laptop is 11th Generation Intel, and it is very fast mostly because of its 256 GB solid state drive. The case is not a solid as HP laptop computers of 10 years ago, but it is much lighter. That's a good feature if you want to use it as a true laptop. The battery heat is not as high as it was for older laptops. Again, this really nice for true laptop operation. This laptop is eligible for a free upgrade to the next Windows operating system and comes with a 2 year warranty. One downside of this computer is the keyboard color and the keyboard lettering. The lettering is easier to read with the back-lighting shut off. HP really missed the boat on this one. I, for one, don't have much trouble with this as I know how to type. Anyone who can't type might find this keyboard contrast problem annoying. The price for what you are getting is really too high. I am sure that this is due to the shortage of semiconductors due to the pandemic. The price is market driven. A year ago we would probably be paying $350 for a laptop computer like this one. One thing that is missing is a CD drive which would have been nice for loading software. I worked around this shortcoming with a thumb drive however this required transferring software on disk to the thumb drive. This is time consuming and another annoyance. The RAM is only 4 GB and this is too little for the price. For common tasks this should not be a problem. It's just a lot to pay for so little memory. The display is bright and sharp as one would expect for modern displays. Some may find the 2 super-speed USB A ports a positive feature. There is also one super-speed USB C port. There are the usual Ethernet RJ-45 and HDMI ports. The AC adapter has a right angle connector which is great for cramped quarters. It's about time. The battery life is specified to be at least 8 hours under various conditions. A 3-cell 41W lithium ion battery is a nice feature. I would have given this computer a higher rating had it not been for the keyboard and memory. The keyboard contrast should not be a cost driver. It would seem that visibility was compromised for styling.

I gave this a two because HP makes a good computer. Sam's warranty is worthless. While setting it up it went to warranty registration and told me that the warranty had expired 10/31/22. If you're going to advertise a 2 year warranty, you need to make sure it is on the computer. Obviously this one was sent out over 2 years ago and returned. Instead of selling as a used or refurbished, it was sold as new, which it obviously wasn't. I won't be buying anymore electronics from Sam's.

This is not a horrible computer but it doesn't work for me. First, it has the feel of being "cheap". Then it is having a very hard time recognizing my iPhone's hotspot or various other wifi networks that I use regularly. I have set these networks to be auto-connected but they don't even show up. So, given that 99.5% of the work I do is internet based, this computer just doesn't work for me.
