I always used this as a teenager that was involved in multiple contact sports and as everyone knows, puberty can hit hard with the unsightly pimples you develop through all the grease and grime of sports. Getting older I invested in the more expensive skin care products, but now in my late 30's I still find myself going back to the tried and true brands that have always worked for me. This face wash really helps cuts down on oily skin without stripping your skin down to just sandpaper. Of course I follow up with a serum and moisturizer, but as far as facial cleansers go, this has always worked the best for me.

I've been using this product since my teens and continue to use it at age 48 two to three times per week to keep my complexion fresh and control oil. Both of my daughters (ages 23 and 11) also use it. I've tried more expensive, designer, department store and other reputable brands and nothing compares to Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash. If I could give this product more than 5 stars I certainly would - it has never failed.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT Both myself and my friend used the product and it causes severe reaction to face. Extremely red and burning, patches of rashes and also swelling of the eyes which are yet to subside 6 days later. Had only used the facewash twice. DO NOT BUY.

This is the best. At first, I didn’t follow the instructions either & my skin burned & was dry. Honestly, if you want to love this, use it right. Wet your face. Put half a pump of product on your hands. Wet your hands & lather that stuff real good. Massage it to your wet face for about 30 sec. Rinse with cold water. This face wash makes my skin extremely soft & it helps keep my skin at bay. I’m not 100% sure about the “preventing acne” aspect of this product, but it does really help at fighting zits.This is really worth giving a shot. It’s the #1 dermatologist recommend wash for a reason, right?

My dermatologist recommended this to me when I was in my late teens. I am now in early 30s and still use it simply because I never thought to use anything else. This has definitely kept my skin clear for all these years. My acne didnt get bad til my late teens and then I began using this. Took a while but acne definitely cleared out. I will likely switch to an anti aging treatment now.

I'm in love with this product. The scent is light and ingredients don't cause any problems to my already sensitive skin. It also doesn't hurt that the price allows me to purchase multiple for my home. Neutrogena never misses the mark on packaging, so I'm never embarrassed to have it displayed in my bathrooms.

I bought this product for my acne, within the 4th use it burnt my face, and caused rash and swelling especially around my eyes. I wouldn’t wash my face for a week because it would burn. After a week of having this reaction my face started to peel. It’s a terrible product and would not recommend. My skin is still peeling and I’m scared to put anything else on it.

I have combination skin that's prone to breakouts during the summer and this face wash leaves me feeling clean and fresh during the warmer months. It helps prevent breakouts and, if I do get one, it clears up fast! Smells clean, lathers nicely, and removes makeup easily. My skin can get a bit dry with repeated use of salicylic acid products so I use this at night and a creamy cleanser in the morning.

Wasn't for sure if I would like this product or even if it would work, but to my surprise, it does exactly what it says it will do!! I'm prone to acne, but since using this product…. NO breakouts And to think, I've been buying the “expensive” brands from my Dermatologist and never saw much, if any difference!! Did I mention…. It's Vert affordable!!!
