After purchased it, I started using it at the night time that day. Then the morning I woke up, I feel a bit of burning on my skin. Till to the evening, I can see my face is totally red and small pumps have started appearing. Now I am freaking in panic. I think this product has a formula to let my skin is so over-dried. Really scared of my skin ATM.

I used this as a daily ritual when I was a teen, I had extremely oily acne prone skin and this gave me the confidence to have clean acne free skin, however as an adult I have the opposite problem and can no longer use as it over dried my skin. However I would still recommend this for very oily acne prone skin. It smells clean and makes your face feel clean.

This is the most powerful acne wash EVER. This stuff will completely remove any oil from your skin and clear it out, but the problem is, it's just too strong for daily use. I actually use the regular Neutrogena facial bar on a daily basis. If my skin begins to feel oily, then I'll step up to the Neutrogena "Deep Clean Facial Cleanser" and if necessary I'll also use that with the "Clear Pore Oil-Eliminating Astringent". Normally, that's enough, but if, and only if, that isn't enough, I'll use the "Oil-Free Acne Wash". I can only use this product maybe once or twice a week, and that will do the job, in conjunction with the other products. I could never use it twice a day as directed, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good product. I read some of the other reviews and I sympathize with those that may have developed a rash from this product. The first time I used it, the same thing happened to me from following the directions, but I did figure out how to use it, and it does have a permanent place in my normal skin regimen now.

My son uses the oil-free acne wash with salicylic acid and we see a huge difference in his blemishes. It keeps his skin dry and clear on his face and back! He's 17 and plays sports so we've tried many different products and this one seems to be his winner. We definitely recommend.

I like to use this whenever my skin feels oily but I'm not going to shower. Its good for making my skin feel like its no longer oily. Can be slightly drying. I feel like its not as great an acne product as an exfoliant with beads but like I said, its good for getting rid of the oily feeling. I'll probably buy it again but I don't use it all the time.

I've been using this product for a few weeks now and I'm upset. It's been working so well at first. I have bad acne on my chin area and nose area it began to clear within days. All of a sudden I noticed the more I used it the less it worked. My skin is very peeley and I just don't know what to do. The moisturizers I have only help for about 2 hours or so. Any suggestions?

The one thing I enjoy about Neutrogena oil-free acne wash is the fresh, smooth feeling that's left on my skin. The scent is very mild and not overpowering. With this face Wash from Neutrogena. I see that a little goes a long way. Therefore, the product will last about a month if using daily.

I bought this product in May because I was having some bad breakouts on my face, at first everything was going fine and I started to feel some irritation. I looked it up and it said that was normal, continued using. However, as more time went on my face started to breakout even more and when I applied it to my face, my skin felt like it was burning. I ultimately had to stop using it and was surprised since I've never had an issue with any skincare products.

I really wanted to like this product but it dried out my skin and it made me break out. I recommend using something that does not have salicylic acid or is just gentle on the skin instead like the Cetaphil cleanser or the survey those never break me out and they do a really good job of removing all the make up. Neutrogena makes great products, but I think this one is a pass.

This facial cleanser is very gentle on the skin and doesn't leave the skin dry. It leaves the skin soft and hydrated. Refreshing, you feel nice and clean. The product is very light on the skin and doesn't strip all oils completely preventing dry skin. If anything the skin feels moisturized after a cleansing. Very great product and sensitive skin friendly.
