I have sensitive and dry skin and decided to use this because it looked simple and that it would work as an everyday cleanser (No bad acne treatment). I used it and my face tighten up and i could barely even talk! it felt horrible on my face, and didn't feel like it was even cleaning. I would definitely not recommend this for sensitive or dry skin users.

This has become one of my most used facial products on a daily basis. I have used oil-free acne wash for over 15 years and I love the Neutrogena brand. Most of their products are dermatologists recommended and I like that this has 2% salicylic acid in it. It is very gentle on sensitive skin and does a great job getting deep into pores without irritating the skin. It's best to use this product twice a day and work into a lather but the rinsing is very simple. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting an oil-free cleanser without having to break the bank, this is very affordable. Neutrogena has also made great products for blackheads that I would also recommend overall I am a huge fan of the brand and will continue to purchase for years to come.

A couple of days after use, not only did my skin start to itch furiously, but my entire face turned very red, as if it was inflamed.Some acne is gone. But it is better that my complexion is normal with a small number of pimples than bright red inflamed and itchy. WHAT SHOULD I DO??

I love this product!!! With consistent use, I have noticed clearer skin and less random and big breakouts. It is gentle enough for me to use every night, but I do use a gentle cleanser in the A.M. Tip - I have noticed a big difference when I massage my cleanser into my face for a full minute, especial when there are active ingredients.

I decided to try this because it was recommend as comparable to the too-expensive face soap I normally use. I found it difficult to get a lather and I didn't have that "clean" feeling, like there was residue. I continued to use it, twice daily per the directions, but by the third day my skin was itchy, dry, and flaky around the nose and cheeks (which is usually where I'm the oiliest). While my guess is that I cleans alright, I definitely would not recommend it for daily use unless you have VERY oily skin.

I have combination skin that's prone to breakouts during the summer and this face wash leaves me feeling clean and fresh during the warmer months. It helps prevent breakouts and, if I do get one, it clears up fast! Smells clean, lathers nicely, and removes makeup easily. My skin can get a bit dry with repeated use of salicylic acid products so I use this at night and a creamy cleanser in the morning.

My skin was smooth before, but now it's rough and patchy around my mouth and cheeks (near my eyes, as well). But the acne has diminished quite a bit. I guess it's a good trade, since you can't visualize that my skin is really dry. But it is really uncomfortable because it feels like my face is in some kind of plaster. >.< Not sure how worth it it is...

This is the best face wash. I wet your face. Put half a pump of product on your hands. Wet your hands & lather that stuff real good. Massage it to your wet face for about 30 sec. Rinse with cold water. It’s the number 1 dermatologist recommend. Highly recommend this to everyone!

I (thankfully) haven't had to use  Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash in quite a few years. But when I had the need, this was my go-to acne wash. It gently cleanses without leaving a filmy residue and did not dry out my face. Neutrogena oil free acne wash is mid-priced but, in my opinion, worth it. 

I used this product for years and it definitely made a difference in the amount of oil on my face during the day. It also helped with all the forehead blackheads I could never seem to get rid of. It can have a drying effect so I recommend using it every other day at first.
