I'm an 45 yo Afro-Am woman with oily/acne prone skin and I must say this wash is the BEST at treating my acne. Since I started using it my skin is smooth, clear and with CONSISTENT use (sometimes I get lazy) acne free. I've tried VERY expensive products recommended by dermatologist and estheticians, but NONE have worked better than this one. The 2% SA ingredient does the trick but CAN OVER DRY if you're not careful so it's VERY important to use this product with a lubricant (coca butter/vaseline). The first couple of times I used it, I used it twice a day WITHOUT lubricants so my eyes dried out, my lips were stripped and the tip of nose was flaky and peeling, so I pulled back to once a day and started using lubricants. I'm so glad I didn't give up on this product because the results were so worth it. To prevent drying/peeling of the delicate areas (Eyes, tips of Nose, Mouth) I follow these steps: 1) Apply a SMALL amount of lubricant (I prefer cocoa butter) to eyes, nose and mouth with a cotton ball or Q-tip 2) Apply N's Oil-Free face wash (usually on my cheeks, chin and forehead - where I breakout most). I usually leave the wash on my face for a few seconds. 3) Remove with warm water repeating this step several times. 4) I wash again with a mild soap or gentle face wash to remove product and coca butter residue and then pat dry. I follow-up with an Oil-Free Toner and my face is left feeling clean, fresh, smooth and and acne-free. I use this product ONCE a day (2x per day if I've skipped a day or two and feel like I'm going to have a major breakout). My daughter uses the same product in a cream version (she has dry skin) and it works better for her so be open to trying different versions until you find the perfect mix for you. Hope this helps!

I keep this item in the shower for a quick wash and it actually removes my makeup beautifully. The scent is okayyyy, it isn’t my favorite- I prefer zero smell for my facial products. I do follow up with my normal routine because I feel like it strips my skin and I have to give some good thick moisturizer after.

I like anything with a lather, I just feel so much cleaner! This product. Dries up my oily skin and its oil fee for entire day. It leaves my face feeling tight and clean. It also removes my eye makeup w/o drying out the skin around my eyes .................

i used this product a week ago and got rashes all over my face. My skin was Inflamed and swollen for 3 days and then dried up completely. the entire skin is peeling off and extremely dry now. Surprisingly my skin was never sensitive and this product should not have affected it this bad-"purely going by the product warning". Now with so many similar reviews it makes me think as to why is this product still there in market. It is a complete disaster..would never ever recommend anyone to use this.

I used it for the first time just under a week ago, and the skin on my face hasn't been the same since. I have other neutrogena products that I've used for months and I've never reacted to any of them before. It has gone down a lot in the last couple days, but when I used it my face dried out far too much and nothing I tried would fix it. My face also became red, extremely itchy, tight, and I actually have more acne than I did before. I don't know if this is a common thing that happens when you first use it or not, but this is what happened to me.The price was great and I'm sure it works for many other people! See if it works for you, I'm not going to tell you not to use it because it didn't work for me.

I bought this a while ago, but decided not to use it for some reason... But when I actually gave it a try, it was SO gentle!!! I wish I would’ve given this a chance earlier but it either way, it helped my acne. Doesn’t really smell like anything (which is good for sensitive-skinned people) and still can’t believe how gentle it is with my skin.

I bought this product a week ago and finally decided to try it out. The first couple of days, I felt fine. On the third day of washing, my face felt like it was on fire, even after I rinsed! My face is covered in a rash that burn. My skin looks horrible and feels even worse. No amount of lotion helps ease the burn!
