I used this product years ago (probably about 5) and it worked so well on my skin, so this time around I figured I'd get the same result, right? WRONG. After 1 USE, my skin is dry, flaking, red, bumpy, itchy, and just plain gross. No amount of moisturizer will fix it, and my makeup won't cover it (I'm a makeup artist, so I have some pretty high end full coverage makeup, and even that won't do it). I gave in and went to see a doctor on the second day because my skin HURT SO BADLY, and I had to be prescribed medication to restore my skin back to how it was before.

It's a great product. Althought it has slow results when it comes to removing acne, it does help greatly with oily skin. It makes my skin dry but there's nothing that a little moisturizer can't do! I have extremely oily skin and I'm happy that it dries it up. The smell isn't overpowering but it still smells good and very refreshing, especially in the morning.

once i have washed my face it looks good soft clean but throughout the day it gets slightly oily and doesn't look soft like it would once it has been washed. my chin has been breaking out i got a really big ugly pimple it hurt when i touched it to wash it i really like it but im sure there is something else i can use

I'm 45. Since my early 20's I have occasionally been plagued by both small acne breakouts to some pretty bad bouts of cystic acne. This is the ONLY cleanser I can use on my face to eliminate both types of acne. I use it twice daily and always follow with a moisturizer. If I have a particularly stubborn pimple, I'll use the On The Spot acne treatment and it's usually always gone the next morning. Of interest to me is that in my 20's I had very oily skin and now at 45, my skin is dry. After TWO DECADES and two different skin types, this product works!

im not going to lie it does work! it makes my skin soft, clean, and clear! i wash my face with this stuff in the morning and before i go to bed. but sometimes my skin starts to burn, and dry my skin a little. but in general i do recommend it if you want clear skin fast!

So I started using this stuff last Sunday and it seemed fine! It made my skin feel fresh and nice! Acne started to fade the next day! I followed the directions, using it twice a day. But around last night after I put it on, my skin was itching and started to burn kinda! I didn't thin k much and put it on again this morning. Gah! My skin was burning nearly ALL day and I felt like my face was rubbed against concrete! When I looked in the mirror, I noticed my skin was getting bumpy! I noticed alot of reviews said the same thing, so how is it 'Number 1"? Please, Neutrogena, help us out! My skin is still burning and its been over twelve hours! Not using it again! I just need a wash to actually work. My face needs to cool down.

This is the best face wash. I wet your face. Put half a pump of product on your hands. Wet your hands & lather that stuff real good. Massage it to your wet face for about 30 sec. Rinse with cold water. It's the number 1 dermatologist recommend. Highly recommend this to everyone!

I have zero complaints. I didn't notice a dramatically fast clearing up in my skin, but I also have very sensitive skin that is prone to stubborn acne. For the price and amount you get I'm not upset. Definitely a “dedicated use over time” kind of product.

I was looking for a good face wash to use after sweaty workouts at the gym. I figured this product would be great to prevent me from oil buildup and break outs which tend to happen to my face after working out. The first day I used this wash (before bed), I noticed a tingling/ burning sensation on my face.I wrote it off thinking perhaps it was the tingling of the Sacilyc acid. BUT when i woke up I had red dry blotches in various spots on my face and eye lids! I washed my face again and immediately moisturized and my skin was left so sensitive and painful to the touch for the rest of the day. This is VERY disappointing since the face wash is practically unused but I don't think I can continue to use it. :(

I have tried a lot of cleansers and cremes from high-end and drugstore but since i found this one it has helped me a lot with my acne but the only problem i have with it, is that it dries my skin really bad. Sometimes i can see my t zone peeling and flaky, it helps me with the acne but at the same times it dries my skin. Not sure if buying it again.
