Last year, I was at war. I had waged war against my adult acne that had decided to pop from the blues. I documented a bit of my journey by reviewing two products I hoped would help. Check out the review on the Black Face Mask and Bio Oil. To be honest those were just samples of the products I used with many having little to no effect. The bio-oil was actually a good product but over time my acne seemed resistant. However, I am glad to report that I won the war. Well, somewhat. If you have had any experience with adult acne you know it isn’t an easy thing to shake off completely. But the worst is surely behind me.a

I bought this because I've used this before but it was the bar version, so assumed it was the same kind. WOW, I was wrong. I wish I looked at the reviews before buying this trash, My face is burning as I type this and it's TIGHT and RED. I have a bunch of tiny whiteheads on around my chin and some on my cheeks. It's so disgusting and embarrassing. Y'all need to take this trash off the market, wow. My face is irritated and it hurts when I put on moisturizer. I'm about to find a brick and scrape my face off, y'all made me look uglier than I did before. D@MN.

I use this as a second cleanser after my oil based cleanser. I found this a little too drying on my skin, and I can tell because my skin feels “squeaky clean” after cleansing which is actually not a good sign. I would have to use serums and moisturizers right after to help balance out my skin’s hydration.

In the summer I always am more prone to acne and bumps on my face and body, this cleanser has been a great solution to my problem! Not only does it help reduce my chances of getting acne but also helps clear it up faster than other washes! I love that it is oil free, and leaves my skin in the perfect condition after a couple uses! 10/10

I love this product it has salicylic acid for facial wash. 2 times I used for facial it appears peeling and I like it because it changing new looking skin. Its like drying your skin but you can put a moisturizer on it. I am using it also to my body its quite big. Perfect!

So I bought a sample size of this wash because I wanted to see if it really worked for my oily/sensitive/acne-prone skin. So I tried it out for a few days wasn't seeing any results. I got frustrated and told my mom about how it wasn't working. She said give it some time, and I did. After a few more days passed I noticed my acne had diminished or disappeared! I was amazed I felt for once I had acne free skin! My mom even noticed it! Thank you Neutrogena for giving me confidence and helping me win this 3 year war with my skin!

I’ve struggled with acne since I was 10, and this did an okay job of bringing my zits down, but ultimately did not clear my skin up. I love this as a body wash for anyone who suffers from bacne, chest acne, or any bumps on the skin. It may work for others on the face but I tend to have sensitive skin.

This cleanser doesn't smell the greatest. It does take out oil. But to the extent that my face was almost peeling! Acne wise, im not that bad, just around feminine time do I actually break out. I am only 14, so that may be the culprit. I have absolutely no cystic acne. But what this product did is make more acne. Because it was forcing things out...But in the end it wasn't TERRIBLE. I guess it just depends on the person

I first began using this product in high school. Since then, I've switched around a lot and in the process tried dozens of drug and department store acne washes/cleansers/creams. I always came back to the Oil-Free Acne Wash, and now I will NEVER trust my face with anything else. The effectiveness of acne medications and washes do vary a lot from person to person, so there's no guarantee that this product will work for you. I've tried products that people have raved about or called miraculous, but I've usually achieved little success. This wash cleared up my daily breakouts when nothing else could, and the price is so reasonable that it's really worth a shot. It's gentle and completely trustworthy for me.

I got a mini bottle of this for Christmas in my stocking. I've used it day and night for a couple of days and the skin on my cheeks by my nose and eyes feels like it is on fire every time I try to put something on it (ex. moisturizer, makeup, concealer, different face wash, etc.). The skin there is also really red and I can't get my makeup to cover it up. My mom thought I had been crying because my face was so red there! I'm guessing it is from the salicylic acid that is in the wash, but I'm not sure.
