I've been using this product for years and let me tell you it has never let me down . When I first started using it in 2019 I had bad acne and this product magically cleared it in as little as a week ! The only downfall is that if you combine it with other skincare it can dry out your skin but other than that it's about perfect, even for kids ! My little cousin (8) uses this face wash and it doesnt mess with her natural skin and , my mom (43) uses it every morning and night ! Perfect for all ages would definitely recommend ! It's the only skincare product you need and the only one I currently use , it just works that well , plus , neutrogena is pretty trend right about now so it wont be "weird" or "gross" to use ! Great product for all ages and skin types but would recommend more towards the people with thicker rougher skin , that way your skin can handle all of the salicylic acid! I just live this product and have been using it for god knows how long and its easily available just about anywhere ! It's cheap and easy ! Would definitely recommend ! I just would've liked to know that it can dry out skin if you use it too often at first , you have to let your skin sink into it !

I am an avid competitive swimmer, so my skin is always in harsh chemicals. It would go from really dry to really oily. It seemed very agitated and I could not control my breakouts. I've been using this product for about 2 months now, and I have definitely noticed a difference. My skin has kept a clean feeling and my breakouts have been showing up less and less. I'm looking forward to continuing this product.

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to other products I use as it had the same active ingredients. I used this product for less than a week and it destroyed my skin. I woke up to redness that refused to go away (looked like I stayed out too long in the sun), whiteheads EVERYWHERE (never struggled with this before), and itching/burning constantly. The dryness that followed was unreal (and I have horribly oily skin normally). I have never dealt with such bad skin texture and acne as I did when I started this product. I threw the full bottle away and will never purchase again. I've used Neutrogena many times in the past and never had issues like this so I'm not sure what happened.

My current go to as I struggle with mask related acne. I hadn’t used this cleanser for years before this year but upon switching back to it I’ve recognized why I loved it as a teen. It’s easy to lather, smells decent & leaves my face feeling nice and clean and less greasy than before. I can see an improvement in my acne and I’ll continue using this in my regular routine.

The formula does have salicylic acid, which is a well-known acne-fighting ingredient. However, it seemed to strip my skin of its natural oils rather than just targeting the acne. I also experienced some redness and flakiness around my nose and chin area. On a more positive note, the cleanser has a pleasant scent and lathers well, making it easy to apply and rinse off. It might work better for those with very oily skin, but if you have combination or sensitive skin, you may want to be cautious. In summary, while the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash could work for others, it didn't suit my skin type. There might be better options available for those with sensitive or dry skin.

Started to use this product noting that it had said all of these remarkable things on the back. Also noting that it is a "gentle" wash. At first my face was feeling tight and left a shiny texture on my skin. A week later my skin was inflammed felt like wind burn, looked red, had puffyness around my mouth, red bumps & small white heads everywhere I had applied the acne wash.

I started using this wash as i enteredmy teens, thanks to my mom who'dused this wash since HER teens. This face wash got me through my worse periods of breakouts and skin imbalances. I definitely will continueto recommendto people of all ages and skin types.

Neutrogena oil-free acne wash with salicylic acid is my daily face wash for acne -prone skin I've been using this product in my AM/PM routine for years now it contains 2% salicylic acid as well as some plant ingredients. Making a very light foam with water helps clean my face by penertrating into my pores,eliminating oil and dirt and it unclog my pores without over drying my face. It has a very light smell not irritating my face or breaking me out worse. the face wash treats and prevents breakouts and its suitable for daily use on acne prone skin. It comes in a plastic bottle with pump I also learned a little goes a long way always remember you can always add but not take away.

After using this product for only 3 days (2x per day like a usual skin care routine) my skin was extremely dry, red and burning. This has been worst reaction I've ever had to a face product! My skin is combination type and not typically sensitive but this product was wayy too strong for me. I've been trying to recover for 4 days now (it's a little better) but my skin is still burning and very dry..
